Awesome machine
If you are looking to get into laser engraving this is the one to do it with. While really affordable the results have been better than I had anticipated. Simple to assemble and super easy to get up running. So far have used it to engrave slate coasters and bamboo cutting board and amazed myself with how great they came out. Would highly recommend thisThis is review was not sponsored or paid for but I am definitely open to negotiations as a free agent 😃

Very easy setup, great for beginners (like me)
I love creating things, so when this laser engraver/cutter came up to order and review, I jumped at the chance. I have never used anything like this before, so I can’t compare it much to other laser engravers, but I will tell you my experience as a beginner using this machine. The first thing I noticed on receiving it was how very well it was packaged, with plenty of cutout foam to protect it. It came with various different cords and parts, which I discovered were not all needed for setup (some are for other things, such as an air assist pump, which must be purchased separately.) After removing the parts from the box, I carefully removed the main body of the machine, which is the solid frame, from the foam. Referring to the instruction manual for setup, I attached the X-axis cord and air tubing, using the included brackets to secure them to the frame, then attached the mount for the laser with the four included screws, and slid the laser into the mount, securing it with two thumb screws. And that was it! The machine was set up and ready to use! Unfortunately I was not ready - I didn’t know when ordering that it would work best with other equipment. I ordered a honeycomb bed to make cutting safer, which came with a metal sheet marked in centimeters, in a grid like graph paper, for engraving purposes. The machine does not work on its own, as there is no way to tell it what to do without being connected to a computer or phone. After comparing compatible software, I downloaded the free trial of Lightburn and watched a few tutorials on it. I then planned my first project - an engraving of our beloved dog who passed away last year. I imported her photo, added her name above it, and set the power to 40%, with a speed of 40. These were probably NOT optimal settings for engraving a photo, as the image didn’t come out as clear as I would have liked (I also forgot to set it to grayscale in the app, which is apparently better for photos), BUT - for a very first engraving project by someone with literally no experience - I am impressed. I can see that this machine has a LOT of potential once I am more familiar and experienced with it, and I can’t wait to get some other equipment (an air assist and an enclosure that I can vent to the outdoors for smoke and fumes) so that I can try engraving other materials and cutting wood. One thing I also want to mention is that I didn’t realize that the solid unibody frame is a unique feature, until I watched a setup video for a different brand for comparison. The frame for the other brand came in pieces that had to be put together, and setup took about four times longer than it took me to get my machine ready for use. The unibody frame is one solid piece of metal, no joints or screws, and most of the wiring is already in place. Some stats from the listing:The A6Pro utilizes a laser with a 0.05x0.05 ultra compressed spot beam. This allows more detail with distinct contrast than a beam of a larger size. The A6Pro will not run without the start key in place, and has other safety features such as tilt detection, and a kill switch to immediately stop the machine and turn off the laser. It also has an automatic power failure recovery system, allowing it to resume cutting at the exact point it stopped at.

Perfect for beginners, but produced great result.
The media could not be loaded. I have had many laser engravers. This one as the easiest one to setup and use. It took me only 5 minutes to get it all hooked up and ready to go. As for the software, I recommend the Atomstack Studio. It had the best out of the box A6Pro support. It produces the best first try print result without. As with any engraving software, it takes some adjustment to the settings to get the best result. Atomstack Studio makes it so much easier. I have tried paper, wood, vinyl, various plastic, and even painted mild steel. All worked great with very little adjustment needed once the correct material is selected. The engraver along with Atomstack Studio is the easiest setup I have ever seen. Yet, the quality of the result is awesome. The repeatability and accuracy is top notch. I also tried using this engraver with lightGRBL. It does not have the config for A6Pro, so it took a lot more effort to get the settings right. The interface is not as intuitive as Atomstack Studio. The included safety glasses works very well. It completely blocked the blue laser, but still let me see everything well. The included air assist hose is routed to the laser head neatly. It does not dangle around like what I had before. The manual is not 100% accurate, but close enough, and it is easy to follow.Overall, I really like the A6Pro. I think it is the best system for somebody who has no prior experience. If you are a pro, it is still a quality product that produces qreat results.
