I find this manual pump to be highly suitable for my 55-gallon drum, which I use as a diesel pump. Its convenience is impressive and it appears to be a centrifugal pump. The weight of the pump body material is considerable, and I observed some lubricant inside that is presumably used to lubricate the pump body. Overall, I highly recommend it as the ideal drum pump for diesel pumping.

Purchased this to pump truck wash out of a 30 gallon barrel. It worked properly when initially set up but after about a month the red, plastic, part that screws into the barrel and holds the pump securely broke and the pump is now completely loose. I tried to order a metal sleeve to replace the plastic one but it does not fit the diameter of the pump barrel. I would not recommend this due to the cheap plastic parts.

This little pump works great. I have not used it much because I ended up swapping it out with a different one due to the corrosive liquid that I was needing a pump for. Assembling it was very straightforward and easy. The handle turns smoothly and the flow rate seems good (if you remember to vent the drum).
