The pictures are great, but the paper quality is SO BAD! The paper is so thin. So, there is no way you can use markers let alone blend them. The only medium you can use is crayon or colored pencils, but even then you'd have to be careful if you use a blending pencil.

These are beautiful pictures of koi. Large enough to see clearly and color with pencils to get great colors on them.

This book is amazing. The illustrations are so beautiful and the color key makes this a very fun coloring experience. The paper quality is okay; no issues with bleeding since pictures are single side, however I did use and extra piece of paper between pages when using heavy markers. I highly recommend this book; even if you aren't a Koi lover.
