Update...a year now and still great. Have 4 in white, 10 inch. Still going strong. Thery are NOT cheaply made. Fit my round balcony railings wonderfully. Plants sit in it with great support. How others can bad mouth it is beyond me. Also seller and customer great. This is really sturdy, well made and good looking. You should love love love it. I really highly recommend. The back support kept the pot upright beautifully with my 10 inch hanging moss roses which was quite heavy. I didnt think it would stay upright with so much weight, but to my surprise it did. Easy to adjust. My plant looks just great and shown off to its best. I cannot hang plants from my ceiling so this was the next best thing, plus gets lots of filtered sunlight and fresh air. I bought just one to try it out. Now I am getting 3 more to complete the decorating of my patio railing. This is a terrific item, well packaged for shipping and sturdy. I've bought a total of 6 of these, including the ones I've included as part of a gifted plant. They're perfect for small balconies. I hang them on the outside so my plants get more sun and don't unnecessarily occupy space. I just drop in plants in their plastic planters they come in. These holders are plenty sturdy for trailing plants large and dense enough that I can drink my morning coffee outside in my underwear.The only downside is relatively minor but is worth mentioning to anyone considering this product. In order to keep level, there is a metal piece that comes off of the bottom and rests against the lower part of the railing. If it rests against an area that's not even with the top railing, your plant will not be perfectly level, but it will be . The bigger problem is that due to some flexibility in the holder, if it's against another horizontal bar this part can slip and it is difficult to put it back in place or remove with the plant still inside. However, it is still miles better than the other products that don't have this feature at all. The horizontal bar it rests against is 5.5" lower than the top of the railing.If they made a product for even larger pots I would instantly buy a handful.

I love these and their perfect for tons of sizes on balcony. I’ll semd photos more up to date review soon. Sadly one of the tons I bought had a set of missing brackets. I got it through amazon prime and maybe that’s why....the brackets are attached by a standard plastic ring like a sales tag and maybe while it was being handled that broke off with my needed pieces. Other than that they are gorgeous and balcony looks epic.

As a person who is restricted to gardening on my balcony, this is excellent for saving floor space and getting my decently sized pots off the ground and into the sun with better air circulation. I bought both a white and black one.The assembly was very simple (although I must note that I had some difficulty getting the caps screwed down on the black one only, the white was a breeze). The holder feels very sturdy. I was concerned about the weight of my potted plants, because I have 8-inch decorative clay pots and it's a a second floor balcony I plan to hang them off of, but after I set these pot holders on the rail and leaned on them some, they still felt rock solid with no wiggle at all. This is helped by the 'kickstand' loop of wire that reaches back from the base of the pot holder and would rest against the wall you have your basket hanging off. I do like that the nut caps that come with the screws for attaching the brackets are actually made out of plastic. I've had issues with my other window boxes where the nut caps rusted through, and then had the remainder stuck firmly to the screw, resulting in the brackets becoming un-adjustable. Or if I forcefully removed a nut that has rusted to the screw, I sometimes end up breaking the screw and then being unable to attach the brackets at all. Of course if you intend to just hang up your flower pot holder and never move it again this may not be an issue for you.I also need to mention, for whatever reason, the brackets the white pot holder came with are about an inch shorter than the ones that came with my black pot holder. My balcony has wooden rails that are 5 inches across, and while the black pot holder easily accommodated that and could actually have fitted on a larger railing, my white pot holder could not fit my railing properly so all I could do was adjust it as wide as I could then wedge it down forcefully in an attempt to get the horizontal part of the brackets to lie flush with the railing. It still seems solid enough, although the 'kickstand' doesn't actually lean back against the wall anymore. It's separated by 1/4 inch or so but I expect if the pot starts tipping it'll be able to keep the holder from going over just fine.

I ordered the 10 inch which I have used in the past, but the 8 inch size was sent. I reordered and was sent the 8 inch again. I attempted to find suitable pots for this size (an additional expense as the pots I already have fit the 10 inch which was ordered). After searching for the correct pot size, I was not successful. The hanger is not stable on wider deck rails as when extended, it only has one screw that will fit instead of the two included. Now I am out of the return window with three of these hangers that will not work for me. I am very unhappy with the quality of the 8 inch and the effort that I put in to try and make this work. If the seller contacts me, I will update my review.

I bought this a year ago to hang an indoor plant on the half wall over the stairs. My plant loves it there and I am making use of otherwise wasted space in my rather small townhouse. I am now wanting to order another one, but the price has more than doubled from a year ago. While I still feel it's a great product, I am still taken aback at how much this costs now, just a year later!
