These are not cheap and flimsy it’s a thick durable silicone…I use them to put ice in the bird baths for the pigeons outside. I live in Arizona and the water comes out really warm from the hose in the summer time.

I go on lots of outdoor outings and always buy block ice for the ice chests. Now I just make my own block ice prior and always ready to go.

These will save me from having to buy a few bags of ice over the course of the summer when we are out at our camp property. I can prep these ahead at home and they will last longer than cubed ice.

I was pleasantly surprised when these molds arrived. They are super sturdy, not the flimsy ones I recently got that leaked as I carefully walked to the freezer. There are two molds in this set to create 6 and 3 pound ice cubes. I am using the 3 pound mold to create ice for large ice buckets.The larger mold, 6 pounds, is perfect for creating the plaster molds I need for casting glass. I mount my wax models inside the large mould, and then pour in plaster of Paris (that's made for kilns). In a short time the paster is has set up inside the Winceed mold and it can easily be unfolded and dried before being filled with glass and fired.Molds are so useful in so many areas, casting (concrete, plaster, wax, etc), and ice making. I want to try painting the inside of the mold with chocolate to see if I can create chocolate boxes that can be filled with dessert items. I am sure these molds will work well for homemade ice cream.The main benefit of these molds is that Winceed has made them strong enough to hold many things, inside the freezer and out, starting with ice, but extending into frozen foods, and DIY and are projects.

These are my favorite ice molds and I wish they made them in a round bowl version too. They really are much thicker and very little wobble without any steel inserts that the others use. Because there is no steel, you can use these in your microwave or oven for food prep besides making ice blocks. Hard to find silicone containers this thick and with rigid walls. Very versatile silicone containers that have a wide variety of food and non-food uses. Recommended.
