I used this unit on my backyard gate and it works very well. It looks like it was made for my modern metal gate. It can be locked or unlocked but closed, which is what we wanted to do.

I order this product because it matched the other door handles I've used on the doors on the interior of my home, but I found it uncomfortable to install because of the screw hole location. You're forced to pull the handle down to access the screw hole, and you must keep it pulled down as you screw in the screw. It left the handle slightly off level. Also, while engaging the lock switch, it has a feeling of needing to be lubricated. Other than these two issues I find it to be a nice product.

This lock is really heavy to hold and has a great feel when you are opening the door. A great modern look. Was easy to install. Great value for the money.

I think it was a little tight to install if you don't have the ability to counter sink the door side plate, but other than that it's was easy to install and looks great!
