Fantastic home for our rats!
Amazing design, and great build quality. Lots of features that are not listed in the description. We've had dozens of pet rats and multiple cages and this is by far our favorite. The plastic components are not an issue for me seeing as though I do not feel that they will be the targets of chewing for them. And if they are chewed on, they will have minimal effect on the Integrity of the cage. The wheel is a surprise. I expected it to be a low quality exercisewheel, in fact it is high quality and silenced. The thoughtfulness in the design really impresses me because the metal platforms and metal ramps will be incredibly easy to clean. The walls literally slide in and out of their aluminum tracks if I needed to take it apart and clean those as well. The tension clips that hold fast to the tank are extremely user friendly and safe and secure from the rats messing with. This makes the glass tank portion very accessible and easy to vacuum out and clean. The built-in foam pad on the exterior bottom side of the tank dampens any unwanted sound and also adds a minor layer of protection from any drops on the inside. The Basin is so deep that I was able to put 4 inches of shavings and paper shreds for them to borrow in. In every way, I feel that the value of this home matches it's well thought out and designe and functionality.

Very high quality cage, but plastic clips
The glass bottom part of the cage is nice thick glass, it's very much unlike the cheap aquariums you normally will buy at your local pet or discount stores. It makes it heavier, but it's a nice sturdy product. The upper cage is sturdy for these kinds of metal cages as well. I bought a topper for another cage that was very expensive for what it was, and wasn't near the quality nor thickness of this one. I also don't have any sharp edges that need fixing in mine. That does happen in these cages sometimes, especially where the smaller mesh wiring is put on. That isn't to say yours will come perfect, and also I did have some caging that was a bit bent and needed to be bent back into place. That all said, the clips that hold the upper cage on and in place are plastic. It's not just the ones that hold it down, it's also all the little pieces that hold the upper cage in the air completely. For an otherwise very high quality cage, that part is a letdown. I don't know what I'll do if the creatures chew these pieces, as they are what is holding the entire top part of the cage even up in the air at all. To make everything else inside metal and high quality, and yet have the clips and parts that hold the upper cage up to be plastic, for a cage that's likely to be used for chewing little creatures, that was such a strange decision in what could have been an otherwise perfect cage. It's why I can't give it the full star rating, which I wish I could. The trinkets (a small water bottle, wheel, little house and a food bowl) they throw in for the inside are hit and miss. I see them as just a couple of extras, back-ups, or temporary things until you get what you really want to set up the cage. The bottle is plastic and extremely small, although it is serviceable and a nice backup. Despite the small size of the bottle, it's a double metal ball one in the drink spout and it doesn't leak as easily as some of my others. The wheel is fine. It's one of those silent plastic spinners, which I do like okay. It all depends on if you like the metal kind of wheel better and what your creatures prefer as well. The food bowl is also cheap and plastic and I don't use it at all. My chewing little monsters would make short work of it. The little house is puny and plastic and barely fits one small creature. The sturdiness of the main cage and the make of the metal and glass parts is pretty great, especially for the price. While it seems high for a cage, it's not, for the quality and size of what you're getting. There definitely will be metal S or Edge Clips you can buy to replace some of the plastic ones to hold the upper cage up. My creatures haven't started chewing that yet, and so I haven't gone to find the right size metal clips to use yet, but I see that they exist and can be bought.

Quality cage. Large. Instructions not so great.
This cage is pretty big, well built. My only real complaint is that the instructions that come with it are okay, but not very good and absolutely useless when it comes to the giant wheel, however if you sit back and breathe a little take a look at it, you can figure it out. Still get 5 stars in my book.

Perfect! gerbies got all the room now :)
this cage is perfect!!! just right for two gerbils! i will say though the water bottle definitely a fail, fell right out of its holder, couldn't hold the weight of the water. the one we have fits perfect in the cage. MAKE SURE you put something under the bottom ramp though being it is too steep for them to climb up to the first platform. other than those two issues this cage is great!!! i got it in the house by myself and set it up myself as well. yes its a little heavy but you can definitely slide it across the floor and once you get everything out its not too heavy at all. DO ASSEMBLE IN THE SPACE YOU PLAN ON PUTTING IT. ITS NOT HEAVY WHEN IN PIECES. the tank bottom is one piece. the cage is together as well and just folded until assembly, opens up like a flower. also one door goes on top :) enjoy your new cage!!!!

Great cage, bar spacing good for small or young pets.
My rats love this cage! Bar spacing is perfect for young rats not to escape. Shelves attach with screw in hardware to keep them in place. Ramps are flimsy but my boys won't need them soon. entire top can easily be removed to clean. Drawback is it is HEAVY! Arrives unassembled, but I was able to assemble it solo in about an hour.

Huge hamster mansion, good value and mostly well made features, but could use a little improvement.
Our large fancy bear Syrian hamster girl Chloe was bored in her two tier home and chewed through the corner of the plastic bin at the bottom so we bought this new supposed chew proof behemoth in the hopes she wouldn’t be bored, and wouldn’t be able to escape in the wee hours of the night again. We just assembled it, and it was pretty easy to assemble, however the instructions have some minor errors. Assembly is easier with two people. The wheel is BIG. It is big enough for a smaller rat and definitely too big for a dwarf hamster, and is super smooth spinning and silent. She loves it already! The platforms, ramps, clips, and bowl are all heavy duty plastic that I don’t think she’ll be chewing but I will update this review after the first cleaning, and after a few weeks of use. Packing and packaging was very sturdy and kept the glass bottom and metal side/pieces safe and secure. And now why I did not give five stars - the water bottle is very small and the bracket it came with is useless. Once you put water in it the tension clip can’t hold the weight of the bottle and the clip has no threading in the hole to be able to tighten the clip to the cage to keep it from falling. Make sure to get your own water bottle for this cage. The little hamster shaped hide is very cute, but kinda flimsy. The eyes and ears snap in with protruding pegs to the inside of the hide. I think she may decide to chew on it, or could get her toe caught in the seam across the middle that wouldn’t fully seat. She likes getting in and out of it so far, but we will see how it holds up… The doors close by tension of the metal bars against each other. Locking clips would have been preferred and it remains to be seen if she can figure out that they aren’t that hard to open. I would be concerned that a rat or larger small animal in this pen would be able to open them. I may come up with my own way to lock them. Overall I still feel it was a good value for the price and my price of mind, but it could be approved upon. We didn’t put the platforms in exactly as the instructions pictured, and added a second wheel, and our own water bottle if you view the video.

Hamster paradise
HUGE hamster paradise. Our furry friend loves digging tunnels and running around his new house. The glass tank portion is perfect for adding lots of bedding to tunnel in. It was easy to assemble and is great quality. Overall a great buy. Only complaint is that the wheel that comes with it is very squeaky. We swapped it for a larger one anyway.

Easy to clean gerbil mansion
We fostered two gerbils over the holidays through our local animal rescue. They were sent to us in a 10 gallon aquarium which is way too small for gerbils but it’s all the rescue had, which is understandable, as they only have what they receive in donations. We decided to adopt them and knew we’d need to upgrade their cage asap. I saw this online and read reviews and was unsure as to whether I should get it or not. I’m glad I took the chance and ordered it! It's very spacious and I love that the bottom is a little deeper so that we can put extra bedding in for the gerbils to burrow. I was not the one to assemble it, but I am the one who takes it apart to clean it and it is pretty easy to get the top(wire part) off and back on to clean out the glass bottom. The bottom level holds all of their bedding, as well as their house and a little platform which holds their sand bath. The second level is large enough to hold an 11 inch wheel which is the minimum size that a gerbil should have. On the top level, we have their water bottle, bathroom container and a food bowl for when they get fresh food. They love running up and down all of the levels and I think they’re very happy. I also like that they’re two doors in different locations on the cage so that it makes it easy to do my daily cleaning. I usually have to wipe off the platforms every day because they like to go to the bathroom on them. I think this cage is a great home for gerbils and would even work well for a hamster. Overall we’re very happy with it and definitely glad we bought it!
