I love these candies for years, trying these Japanese ones are such a treat to enjoy.

It’s expensive and I usually eat every piece in one sitting, but the flavors are unique and the texture divine.

All of these are Very tasty. The Japanese hi chew just hit different.

These are amazing Japanese candies made with the same general kind of taffy as Hi-Chew candy. But, it's softer than regular Hi-Chew, and still retains the wonderfully chewy texture. You get these flavors:Sour LemonGrape SodaShine MuscatMellow Green AppleArita MandarinThe flavors of the taffy are remarkably true to life, in my house we particularly enjoyed the sour lemon and grape soda but each was really good.The best part about these candies is that most of them have some crunchy candy bits in the middle. I'd liken the middle bits to Sweet Tarts: a bit of tartness and sweetness at the same time. It melds so well with the taffy, we thought it was a really unique thing and enjoyed it SO much.The orange ones have more like jellied orange bits inside versus the Sweet Tart like filling. That was good too, but we liked the crunchy ones best.The packages are all in Japanese and, I have to say, the candy wrappers are so much more colorful and charming looking versus those we have here in the States.This collection of five different types of candies really immerses you in the experience of trying sweets from another place, and we had such a fun time trying all the different kinds of candy! This can be a family experience, one that's lots of fun for every age. In my home we have everyone from a toddler to an 80+ matriarch, and we all loved it!To me, it's well worth the cost because you're buying not only candy but an experience.

I've never seen these flavors before and all of them were quite a joy to try. You get 4 very unique Hi-Chew flavors and 1 from Puccho Puchao. Different from the normal Hi-Chews, these ones have some kind of chewy candy balls inside that make it a different texture while chewing. They are slightly crunchy and at times almost like gum but not. Quite fun to eat. The grape soda one instantly blasted me back to childhood, a long lost flavor of candy I used to eat that I had forgotten. Would recommend these addicting candies for sure.

These are *fantastic*! I was so surprised by how good these are. Very flavorful and juicy, with really unique flavors. Japanese candy is just so great and this is no exception.When these arrived I didn't have the Amazon page pulled up so I wasn't sure what each flavor was since I cannot read Japanese. I just had to guess by the pictures, which is kind of fun for me! Each candy is the made the same, a bright fruity and chewy thing wrapped around a somewhat creamy/crunchy center. At first you think it might be a gum, but then it disappears. It's very very tasty, and these will not last long around here!

It's important to note that this limited edition candy set is not in any more secure packaging, and will be loose. They are all in excellent condition with none smooshed or pieces missing, but curious as to why they didn't place these in at least a plastic bag or box. In any case, this is a very tasty assortment of both common and regional flavors. The new personal favorites are the muscat and grape soda, with the muscat having a strong wine flavor and the grape soda having a fun and fizzy center filling. Rest are very delicious, and love the extra attention to the flavoring of the centers. The sour lemon in particular has a sour lemon outer layer with a much stronger lemon cream-flavored center with some crunchy crystals. Just a very interesting combination! Included as a fun bonus is a grape soda-flavored hard candy. Sadly I couldn't seem to find the exact name of this hard candy, but it's a very tasty sample candy thrown in. For a great way to try something new, this is still good to snag! I just wish there was more attention to better secure presentation of the product.
