Impressive optically but lacking in durability
I was very pleased with the performance of this extension tube. It integrated seamlessly with my Lumix S5IIX and 50mm prime, maintaining quick and accurate autofocus. The resulting image quality is clean and impressive for such an affordable accessory. For photographers needing a macro option on the go without carrying another lens, this is incredibly convenient. However, the primary drawback is its physical construction. The choice of a lightweight, seemingly inexpensive plastic makes the product feel fragile. This brings its long-term durability and the stability of the lens mount into question. While it performs well now, I'm not confident it's built to last. It’s a great temporary solution, but I would be hesitant to trust it for heavy or frequent use.

Great value for an extension tube
Initially, I ordered another brand from a reputable (?) photo source and it was described as an extension ring with metal mount. To my greatest surprise, it was actually a nicely painted cheesy plastic mount. I returned it. I abondoned the photographic source and I stared searching Amazon. What a great source to find things that you need! The JJC extention rings for Nikon Z mount lenses were exactly the opposite of what the other ones were not! Both sides of the extension ring mounts (camera and lens) were made of metal (aluminium and brass, respectively), nicely machined and great copper contacts. It worked well and precisely. When you mount both rings there is a sligth play between the two rings what for me is expected. You can't completely eliminated the play less you play the game that the ring can get stuck on the camera or lens. Also, it comes with a really nice bag where you can store it safely and cleanly. Thanks Amazon for the variety of products you offer and JJC!

Very dependent on the lens you're hooking up
Works great on my OM-1. Couldn't find out a lot about these so I just picked them up on a whim. My 12-40 f/2.8 lens is practically useless with both tubes attached as it places the focus plane practically inside the front element of the lens. Conversely, my 40-150 f/2.8 works fantastic. Around 70mm I can place the front of the lens a good six inches away from the subject. Basically, the zoom works as the rough focus, and the focus works for very fine focus. Definitely cheaper than a 90mm macro lens, but the usability is nowhere near a dedicated macro lens. Worth the $40, easily, especially if you aren't doing serious macro work and just wanna mess around. Attached is a roughly 40% crop of a photo taken around 70mm @ f/2.8 of the mesh on top of my microphone, SOOC large jpeg set to fine+neutral.

Quality construction. Easy to use.
This set of macro extenders is constructed well. The extenders have metal connectors. They are easy to install and disconnect. The images I am getting with them are excellent. I am attaching some of the images I got with these extenders.

Cheaply made, with motion, unacceptable for camera gear
These aren't the cheapest, in price, but they sure are in quality. They rotate with a clicking sound, and they also shift side to side with an additional second sound. Two axis motion or slop, between expensive camera and lenses cheapens the entire system. They are of course also electrically conductive, and I wouldnt trust that the contact pins are not going to short across the closely spaced corresponding electrical pads given the impressive amount of mechanical slop. Lest you think that the problem is my lens or camera, they are equally sloppy between each other. I have an R5II and 28to70mm f2 Overall, very poor quality, and potentially a concern for camera damage. I'll go with OEM Cannon-- after many thousands for a body and lenses, why go cheap on the accessories that connect the two?

Works, but feels super cheap
It does exactly what other extension tubes do, but is more expensive and worse quality. I had a set of tubes from Mieke for Sony E mount, and they were about 25-30$ and they were great. These on the other hand, they’re cheap plastic, there is a lot of play in them as I focus, they feel almost loose on my Panasonic S5, it’s not great. They still work and I’ve gotten some great pictures, but they should be a lot better. You still get autofocus thankfully, and I’ve found with the 20-60mm Panasonic lens, I can still take great pictures of bugs and such. I just wish the build quality was significantly better.

Work as well as high-end extension sets, worked well with my Canon systems
For what it is, it works just fine. Sometimes you need extensions from macro photography. All they are is a tube with no glass in them that has the contacts to connect your auto focus lens to your camera. These are made out of plastic, which felt kind of weird cause all my camera gears, professional grade, but they were just fine. I’d recommend getting a pair of these versus the metal ones From the camera manufacturer. You probably won’t use them very often so this is all you need.

Perfect fit and images!
Adapts well to RF lenses, such as the RF 35mm 1.8 and RF 24-105mm 4.0. Previously, EF lenses were extended out with the EF/RF adapter and extension tube, but now the setup is more compact.
