I purchased this in a hope that it would keep my phone elevated off the desk and make it easier to find. This is perfect for that. However I find I cannot do most functions on the phone without picking it up. The design of the stand makes it unsteady by being top heavy with phone added. The leads to movement enough to push over while I am touching the screen. The other whish is that the hinged adjustments are tight enough to keep it standing; but, the lightest pressure will cause it to sink. I feel this could have been corrected by exposing the head of the screw in the hinge to allow for manual tightening.

This little phone stand is great quality and the price is fantastic, even at full price.The stand itself is made of a thick plastic with a painted metal bottom. Giving it a good amount of weight to hold your phone while still being light enough to be portable. The little grippy plastic pieces where you rest your phone on have a good bounce to them and cover the entire area even the front. They are a light grey so they are super noticeable on the black background.Overall this is a very useful little stand that is not too expensive. Not necessarily the most decorative item but very functional and sturdy.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a solid phone stand that doesn't disappoint. It features a thick metal base, making it heavier than some other similar products. This is useful because it adds stability for heavier phones and reduces the chances of tipping over. This stand has a foldable design making it easy to carry around, even in your pocket! At the bottom of the base there are 4 rubber pads so the stand can sit firmly on your desk.The angle of both the phone holder and back support can be adjusted separately. I really like that the hinges, particularly on the back support, are tight, which is convenient as it will add stronger support against some heavier phones. Since the hinges are tight, make sure you press down on the base while you are adjusting, to hold the stand steady.This is a versatile stand, you can use it for hands-free video conferencing as well as a docking station for charging your phone. You can also interact with your phone by tapping and swiping on your display, however, keep in mind that doing so will cause the stand to move. I have demonstrated this in my included video. In order to prevent this you have 2 options, you can add some weight to the base, or you can adjust the back support and holder in a way to support the forward weight. I have managed to adjust the right angle on the back support to allow me to tap on the display while keeping the stand more steady.It is worth noting that this product is meant for phones, however, I was curious to see how it held up against my tablet, so I took one of my Samsung tablets in its cover, which was far heavier than the phone, and placed it on the holder in a landscape orientation, I made some adjustments to the back support and it worked fine, it held steady (I have also included a demonstration of this in the video as well). I then tried to put the tablet in a portrait orientation but that was too much and the stand tipped over. This is expected, as the stand was not meant for this.I have included a video which includes an unboxing and some demonstrations along with how to fold the stand. If there is anything I would have liked to see is the ability to adjust the holder legs' width, this would be useful if you are using phones with thicker covers.I must say I was very impressed with this stand, it is one of the best ones I have used by far and I strongly recommend it. You might find the hinges are too tight to your liking, but you will see that this comes in handy and it is by design as it allows for better support against the weight of your phone.

Update (Jan 2024) - Reduced to 4 StarsI've decided to revise my rating to 4 out of 5 stars.The reason for this change is that the silicone padding at the bottom of the phone case, where it contacts my iPhone 12 Pro Max, obstructs the microphone. This issue has become particularly noticeable during video chats with friends, as I now have to position the phone sideways to ensure I'm heard clearly.While the product is still of good quality, it unfortunately doesn't fully meet my needs for easy video chatting.----Original review:I ordered this cell phone stand to replace a metal unadjustable one I own, and I'm pleased with the functions and quality of this phone stand. The base of the stand is made of metal which provides a solid foundation, and the top adjustable parts are made of quality plastic, allowing it to be fully adjustable for the angles and height. There are enough anti-slip and anti-scratch paddings on the bottom of the stand as well as the phone slot, ensuring the stand and phone stay in place and remain scratch-free. At this price point I really don't have much to complain about, and I would recommend it to everyone in need of a reliable phone stand.

This phone stand has been excellent. It's thick and has a hefty weight to it so it won't likely be tipping over any time soon. Compared to the simpler phone stand I used to use (one which was exactly like the one pictured in their product comparison photo), I don't have to worry about any wobbling at all when I tap along the top of the phone. For reference, I have the arm angled at about 30° and the holder at about 45°, and I use it with an LG G7 ThinQ smartphone.The stand has also worked well to hold a Nintendo Switch OLED without issues.It's very adjustable too as it even lets you rotate the holder across a full 360° range of motion. This feature is quite situational though and I doubt I would ever go into those obtuse ranges.The feet aren't quite as non-slip as I'd like, especially if dust gets on them, but it still functions relatively well. Importantly, the feet material has not affected the Varathane wood finish of my desk unlike some other products I've used (monitor supports, organizers, etc.) with rubber feet - there doesn't seem to be any plasticizer migration issues which is an indicator of high quality materials used in the rubber composite.

I ordered this product as a Christmas present for my friend. He recently had to downsize from a full house to living in one room. He talks to his family a lot over the phone. Usually he either holds his smartphone or just rests it on the table and talks. I though he might like this as it is small so he can put it anywhere to talk and watch video online at the same time. It came in a box suitable for wrapping. I took a peek and saw it was not shrink wrapped/sealed in plastic so I tried it out for a internet meeting on my phone. The base has a nice solid feel and held my smartphone well. My smart phone measures 6.25 inches (L) by 3.75 inches (W) and is 1/4 or 0.25 inches thick from front to back. Note that you do not need any OS or app for this base. It is simply there to rest your phone on. The base does not require any power source to use it. It does have a manual tilt function to help set up the phone at some different angles. It will also fold up between uses so you can carry it in your bag/briefcase, etc. These are very helpful options. I do recommend this product. It is solid, helpful and easy to set up and use.
