Ancor 270103 NMEA 2000 Two Way Tee Connector Small

As a newb to NMEA 2000, I had to get a starter kit for my new Garmin GPS modulator. This was the best option for me, as it comes with a double tee. I'm only connecting to 2 units, so that's a plus. Ancor is a super highly rated WIRING company, so I new this was going to be awesome. So far it is, and it isn't. The setup is solid, no doubt. The issue is where it's made.....PRC. Not a huge deal, because NOBODY makes them in the USA, where I live. It goes together pretty easily, not over using my noggin for this. It came with the end terminators 1 M, 1 F. The double Tee,2 drop down leads, and the power tee. Using a double tee saves space, and gves a cleaner looking install. This is the best priced, well built nmea 2000 starter kit out there.

This cable seems to be well built, good feel to the locking mechanisms and very sturdy. Looking forward to years of service from this cable.This is my first leap into NEMA 2000 networking. The place that installed our radio didn't hook up the remotes and left us hanging. Long story short, I was able to figure it out and this backbone cable worked perfectly and gave us full function of the system again.

Heavy duty. Larger Guage than other tools of this sort. I returned another product to get this one.

I made the mistake of buying a cheaper starter kit on Amazon from China. After multiple weeks of troubleshooting, I finally replaced that starter kit with this product. It worked on the first try. Don’t make my mistake.

Simple mnea set up 183 or 2000 works with my vhf and gps great, sends my position to coast guard in an emergency.

The connection ends of nmea 2000 cables are differing sizes depending on manufacturer. Ancor seems to be the largest diameter. If you’re going through really tight holes or tight turns, this can be an issue. Otherwise ancor makes really good stuff lowrance/simrad seems to be the smallest diameter Maretron is in the middle
