I was always against getting anything other than Lego brand brick sets bc a previous experience years ago led me to believe all ‘off-brand’ brick sets were terrible quality. But during an afternoon of perusing Amazon for another Harry Potter Lego set, I found myself mesmerized by this brand and their amazing brick set designs. It wasn’t really even the light-up feature that caught my attention but the unique collection of worlds that they created, and at half the price of what Lego brand sets cost for a similar size set, I figured I’d give it a try-And I am SO happy I did!! I found the set building to be even more impressive and exciting than the Lego brand. I thoroughly enjoyed the added tasks of the intricate wiring for the lights, the easy to apply brick decals, and the immensely detailed set designs from multiple potion bottles to the various lanterns, candles, and cauldron stovetop to the herb garden to the fireplace bellow, it was a truly immersive experience! I was very impressed with the company’s beautiful packaging and quality of product. I found the instruction booklet to be well printed with true to color images and great contrast, and the directions to be very clear and easy to follow, hitting only a few hiccups that were easily deciphered. I also appreciated the additional tweezers that helped with the wiring as well as the checkpoints throughout the building process to ensure the wiring/connectivity was working correctly with each new section. I love how the roof is easily detachable and that the second story has a wall built as a door making it easy to peer into the set. I understand why their design doesn’t allow for easy viewing inside the main floor, but that is definitely something I hope is an option on other sets. It did take me some time to get used their brick-style characters who showcase more curves than the traditional brick characters, but the ‘Apothicarian’ dons a rather adorable fabric cloak and both he and his apprentice, along with the adorable animals definitely complete the set. I absolutely LOVE this set, and it has become my new favorite, along with this brand! I love that this company took something so many people love and added their own unique features and imagination, while also making a quality, affordable product that encourages an immersively fun, creative experience-I can’t wait to build all of their collections!

I absolutely loved this build. It turned out beautifully. For the most part, the instructions are very clear—occasionally there was a step where the angle could have been a bit better to clearly show where a piece should go—but they were easy enough to follow. I was a little intimidated by the lighting part, as this was my first time incorporating lighting but it was very straightforward. The bricks snap together as easily and securely as Lego brand sets (and comparatively more affordable, thank you). I’ve already bought myself two more sets from Lumibricks’ Medieval line and would have no qualms about recommending this product to a Lego-inclined friend.

Cards on the table, I've been a fan of LEGO as long as I can remember and have had a popular LEGO fan site for over 20 years. I've dabbled with so called 'clones' in the past and they have always left a lot to be desired. This set was suggested to me by Amazon on Prime Day and piqued my interest. The set comes in a sturdy and attractive box and inside its all well packaged, numbered bags like modern LEGO sets, electrics and cloth parts seperated out and a big, thick. perfect bound instruction booklet. So far so good. Everything has the air of a premium product not some cheap knock off. Then to the bricks themselves and this is what blew me away. Brick quality is what has always let the clone brands down but other than the lack of branding, you'd not know these weren't LEGO. The clutch power is spot on, the casting all very high quality and uniform, they even have identical weight and sound to them. The figures are clearly different as minifigures are copyrighted, I left them in the box though as they weren't the important part. Instructions turned out to be similarly impressive. Very clear step by step with sometimes entire pages dedicated to just the correct routing of the lighting wires It took me a couple of nights to build the set and was very enjoyable. Lighting is one of the USPs of this brand and it was interesting to see how it was achieved, aftermarket lighting sets seem to be popular for LEGO and this set comes with it all intergrated. The wiring is fairly unobtrusive with some clever routing to get the wires in the right place. I think Id prefer a bit more ducting in places as the wires do travel outside the set once or twice. There is a lot of it. To my mind too much lighting but I guess its their USP so lean into it. Due to the sheer amount of lights and the fact its a largely white set you do get odd instances like the upper floor glows as the light shines through the white plate, could possibly have used some tiles to thicken the floor and prevent it. Maybe I'll add some. Light also bleeds out of the spaces in the roof as the intricate roof build which looks good without the lighting has plenty of gaps. Its a 'nice to have' though and doesn't detract from the set. The set design itself is pretty good with some interesting 'moves' I did find the roof a bit fiddly and fragile to get into place but sits well when its in. The back of the set is a bit plain with no detail. There were no printed parts but the set uses a transfer style sticker set which are excellent and work much better than the thick stickers LEGO use. Some sets choose to have an open back, some look good all round and hinge open, this one just has plain brick walls which hinge open. Seems a bit of a waste. The roof as previously mentioned wasn't the most robust or smooth thing to wrangle into place and the first floor was also a bit fragile until the plates on top were put into tie it together. All small points though which didn't detract. TLDR - A very well produced quality set which has the real feel of a premium product. The build was fun and I'll definately be looking to buy more of their sets in the future
