Marjoram is a kitchen staple. Who knew it would be so hard to find
I use marjoram in most of my cooking. When it was time to replace it I couldn’t find it in my usual stores thank god for Amazon!!!

My previous bottle lasted 5 years. Good to the last grate.
We don't use a ton of nutmeg, but when we do, we want it to taste and smell fantastic. So I bought a grater and a jar of Spice Hunger whole nutmegs. We use it for lots of baking in the fall and winter, and last year I made Alton Brown's aged eggnog. The nutmeg tasted fantastic in the eggnog...mixed in, and sprinkled on just before drinking. So I had about 1/2 of a pod left, and thought, "shoot, better get some more before the baking season really takes off." Popped on Amazon--forgetting when and where I bought my last bottle--and proceeded to look for the best deal. I found this listing, clicked on it, and saw this notification at the top:"You last purchased this in November, 2014."Wowza. Ok, five years old and still going (smelling) strong? I bought another jar, but still kept using my 1/2 pod leftover from 2014.When the new jar arrived, I grated some just to compare. Folks, it smelled and tasted exactly the same: perfectly fresh, fragrant, perfect, and just waiting to be added to the litany of pumpkin spice goodies that we love for just a few months at a time. (Along with eggnog...and how!)$7 seems like a lot to spend on a jar of spice, but the good stuff truly lasts.

Not the Cheapest, but Excellent Quality
I like it being in a glass jar that will fit on my spice rack. In the jar I received, there are 16 whole nutmegs, minus the shell, or mace, that enclosed them until they were harvested. The aroma is delightful. There is a "best by" date of March 2021 on the jar. I know from experience that it will take me at least 10 years to use all 16 of these and that since I will grind them as needed they will be just fine until they are all gone. I probably use them at a rate of less than 1 per year. Pay no mind to the "best by" date. Oh, and I am sooo glad I bought these just now as here in Georgia the peach season is under way. There's a recipe on the side of the jar for roasted peaches: 3 large ripe peaches, 1-2 Tbsp. butter, 6 tsp. brown sugar (that's 2 Tbsp.), Nutmeg. Slice peaches in half and remove the pit. Place in an oven-safe baking pan. Place a small piece of butter (about a tsp.) in the center of each peach. Sprinkle each half with one tsp. brown sugar and bake at 375F for 12-15 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with finely grated nutmeg. (1/8-1/4 tsp should be plenty.) I will let you know how this turns out.
