Q: Is this suitable for a greyhound? They have deep chests. Weight is around 35 kilos.

My parents have greyhounds so I understand your concerns. My dog is a staff/lab cross and also deep chested and was borderline between medium/large. The initial one bought was medium and didn't fit but the large was perfect. It fitted easily and we adjusted the straps to be snug. This is the only product we found that had the 2 practical straps along the back - which makes lifting the dog on/off a boat easy. This is crucial if on a boat since you'll be reaching for them if they fall off - and can use boat hooks to grab them as well. Hope this helps :)

I bought a small for a slim but large sized Yorkie and it was a bit to big on him. I would probably go with a small for your Westie.
