This has been good for my almost 19 yo CRF cat
So I have an almost 19 year old cat who became renal deficient (CRF) in 2009 when Chinese melamine was at it's peak. (We lost two other cats to renal failure around the same time, but she was the youngest and pulled through after days at the vet.). So she's been on daily sub-Q fluids for ten years now. So over that time she went from 11 to 6-7 lbs, but is still going strong. So I've been dealing with collateral just getting old issues. Over the last year, she really had trouble making it to her box when she needed to poop and was dealing with loose stool. The vet recommended this a few months ago and she gets a packet a day added to her food.It did take 6-8 weeks to really appreciate the difference, but she makes it to her box now and her poops are back to normal. (I was really worried that we had gotten to the point where we needed to put her down because she was peeing in her box but pooping loose stool in places she should not have been.) After a couple of month on Fortiflora, her stools are back to normal, she makes it to her box now, I don't have to clean her bottom and legs for her and she really likes her "sprinkles" so I think she is eating more. Obviously YMMV, but I am going to keep her on Fortifora until it doesn't seem to work anymore.

Great Product!
I have a 7-9 yr young rescue cat who had a tough life, until I got her two yrs ago. She suffered from food anxiety from her past. As a result she began vomiting after eating (wolfing down) her meals. I tried the vet, prescriptions, and finally started sprinkling purina's powder lightly on her food, which very nearly stopped the vomiting. It was such a huge improvement! So I feed her smaller portions, and more often. She doesnt know how to slow down and chew the morsels. Or if she gets hungry, the same thing happens. She is big baby and I love her. I try to pet her and make her calm when she eats and that seems to help. A landlord found her in a closet of a house the tenants had vacated, after two weeks. No water, no food. Her paws were bloody from trying to get out. I wanted her in a warm cozy home and show her love. She waits up for me, till she can go to bed in the same room.

Hard to rate
This type of thing is hard to rate/review. I have 2 senior cats and both started having issues and were put on Fortiflora by our vet. Both of them didn't mind this at first, but over a short period of time one of them would eat even wet food with it completely mixed in. The other eats only dry food (cats!), and he didn't mind it for longer, but after a couple months he wouldn't eat it either. It DID mix well with the wet food, and seemed to stick to the dry food well enough. I would expect the actual probiotics were fine too, but my cats wouldn't eat it. We ended up switching to Tomlyn Pre & Probiotic Powder for Cats. It's odorless and tasteless and water soluble. If worse came to worst I planned to dissolve it in water and use a syringe to administer it, but so far that hasn't been necessary. Tomlyn is available on Amazon or Chewy.

Cat Farts
My rescue cat, Vinnie the Fish, has been using this stuff everyday per instructions but he's still farting like a demon and his poops smell like a thousand corpses. There's nothing wrong with him health-wise. He's eating, drinking, playing, all like a normal healthy young cat. But the farts are like biological warfare.

A bit pricy, but good for cat diarrhea, and cats like the flavor.
One little envelope of this stuff costs as much as the canned cat food I mix it with. However, the cats more eagerly eat the food with this on it than without. At first I just sprinkled it on top of the canned food and the cat ate it so eagerly that she snorted and sneezed -- so I learned to mix it into the food before serving. One of my cats has chronic diarrhea and, since using the Fortiflora her diarrhea has changed from the consistency of pea soup to that of toothpaste and doesn't smell as bad.

Our cats loved the taste BUT
Our cats loved the taste however it gave one of them explosive diarrhea that he could not control. As soon as we quit putting it on the food, his problem stopped. We have bowls that hold 4+ cups of food and we were using 1 packet per bowl every other day or two. So it was not overloaded with the powder. I bought the double pack and we went through 1 box of 30 plus 3 packets out of the other box before we figured out what was causing his diarrhea. So now we have 27 packets that will go to waste because we can’t send them back.

Vet recommended and kitty approved...mine love it!
I've used Fortiflora over the years as my vets have always recommended it. My kitties highly recommend it as well. When I add it to their wet food they smile. I think they would eat even nasty tasting food if I mixed a packet of this in it. As for the benefits, I do not notice a huge difference but like with humans, I know there are benefits to probiotics so, because they like it so much and my vet highly recommends it...they'll keep getting it. I do split 1 packet between 2 cats.

Cats love it!
This makes happy kitty tummies. I started using this to help one kitty who had chronic diarrhea for months after vaccines. This is the only thing that stopped it. All three cats split an envelope over their dry food every day now. I like buying two boxes at a time so I always have one in stock. Good price, quick delivery, great product.
