The product arrived well packaged. I immediately put it to work in a small food carrier, but after an hour it only got somewhat warm in the container. It warned of not putting your hand on it, but I could easily put my hand on it and keep it there. My back warmer gets hotter than this. I guess if I heat up some bags of rice and put in the bag it would help and on there own would do a better job in the short run.

About the size of a half sheet of paper, maybe a little larger.Although it heats up quickly, and it gets very hot, you may want to make a cover for it, to protect plastic bags on food from melting, and to help evenly disperse heat throughout your bag.Plugging in showed wattage of 109watts being pulled.I'd recommend, but not highly recommend.
