Decided to replace both spindles. 42 inch mower deck on a John Deere X300. And I used an impact wrench to remove all old bolts. Parts came with new bolts. Extremely pleased with the result. Decided to start mowing again after a couple of years of out sourcing.Installation was relatively easy and everything fit as intended. I highly recommend this product.

The John Deere replace spindle worked great as a replacement for 30% cost of OEM that who knows - could be same part. I'm sure J. Deere does not manufacture spindles. I just gave longevity 3 stars because I only used a couple times so far. My original spindle lasted from 2007 till 6 weeks ago with only the grease that came from factory because the grease fitting is hid well under the pulley! Ha ha. My other original spindle is still working (I did grease both) but if this one lasts I may buy another as a spare if price is same in a year or so if me and the John Deere X300 are still running. I especially like the bolts they include as all 4 old bolts broke off removing the old spindle. Buy a tube of grease if you are low as both & new spindles took a whole tube.
