Overall this mandoline is great and after reading the reviews for many other manual and electric gadgets to chop vegetables I think this is the only one that does what I need in a proper way: chopping in cubes or sticks without mashing. Other mandolines will not chop in cubes.It is pretty big and sturdy and the blades are very sharp, so be careful when handling it because it is easy to put your hand where you shoudln't if you are paying attention to something else.I find this is especially useful if you have many vegetables to chop. If you are going to chop one or two and you have average chopping skills then use your knife and chopping board.It is important to note that you will still need to cut the vegetables in smaller chunks to fit them in the mandoline. So there is no zero effort with this, but it's pretty easy to cut each vegetable roughly in a few pieces.The function to make cubes or rhomboids is not obvious. You need to put your vegetable chunks inside the sliding handle and start with the sliding handle at the bottom of the unit, as if you had just finished one cut, then you slide ittowards the top and the vertical blades will make a cut in that direction. Then you turn the handle 90 degrees and slide it down, so that the vertical blades make a new cut at 90 degrees (these will be your cubes) and the bottom blade will make the final slicing cut and dettach these cubes from the vegetable. It is pretty easy and fast once you get the hang of it.It is also easy to wash with the brush included. Don't let the remains to dry out in the mandoline and wash it under the tap after finishing.For the price this is an excellent purchase if you slice a lot of vegetables.

Bought this because my parent use to had one if these at home when I was small. I knew this will be a really useful vegetable slicer as it's simple to use, strong , sharp and durable slicer. I was comparing with a few of the vegetable slicer that Amazon have but decided to go for this even it's more expensive that the other. Trust me this will last you for many years. Plus my purpose of this slicer is to make my sweet potatoes chip. All evenly sweet potatoes chip came out like shop bought( do save me a lot ). My downside probably is the blade is so sharp that I don't allow the children to use it . I 'd used it a few times now and I already cut my fingers, just a little bit of carelessness and you will be hurt . So be really caution when you use it.

Had high hopes for this after reading reviews. While it does the job it makes more mess than cutting and dicing veg with a knife. The grip to hold the veg is next to useless. Will likely sit in my cupboard collecting dust.

used it a couple of times, it doesn't work very well, there are much easier to use products on the market wouldn't recommend it, wouldn't buy another one.

The media could not be loaded.  DIY~ homemade fresh perfectly cut and same size crisps (0.5 cm to a cm thickness depends on preference) led us to buy a slicer which really didn't disappointed us as its blades are really sharp.It comes with a very detailed manual. The knobs on one side are used to adjust the cuts of your vegetables or fruits. Easy to assemble; easy to clean too. Very safe to use as there's a holder for your veggies and fruits, also a cover downside that protects the triangular blades that comes up when one of the knobs is pulled and turned. Non - slip feet and foldable handle keeps it standing steady though the curve parts of the slicer itself enables one to just fit it in a bowl while cutting, dicing, cubing or shredding. Got no worries to uneven cuts of veggies and fruits. Evenly cut ingredients is appealing to the eyes. Saves my time in food preparations. Love the colour too! The addition of brush to clean is a good extra to remove bits that are stuck to the machine, however a running water can clean it as well..

I chose this mandolin slicer as I wanted one that has various features, and this has just that. There are 2 dials, one which controls the thickness of the slice, and another for cross-sectional cuts so you can make julienne or batonnet cuts. It also has a dicing feature which is very handy and not something found in all mandolins. The blades are sharp which is great as it allows you to cut with ease, but this does mean you have to take extra care handling and ensure you use the guard to protect your fingers. This tool has definitely made things quicker in the kitchen for me.I've used it several times and am pleased with the product. The biggest downside I've found is that with some vegetables, particularly long ones, it's tricky to get it to stay in the guard as the top of the guard just wants to spring back up. I have to end up using just the bottom half of the guard until the vegetable is shorter as the top part won't stay, which is annoying but it is still usable.

Die verschiedenen Funktionen ersetzen manchen anderen Küchenhelfer und sind auch gut umgesetzt, wie die sichere Führung der Reibe.Aussehen-Qualität**********************Die Verarbeitung ist gut, keine Mängel oder grobe Kunststoffreste vorhanden.Funktion:***********Ich finde das Küchengerät gut und dafür gibt es verschiedene Gründe.Was mir am besten gefällt, ist die Möglichkeit der variablen Schnittstärke, sodass ich dünne oder dicke Zwiebelscheiben schneiden kann. Das Schneiden von verschieden starken Streifen und Würfeln ist auch nicht schlecht.Vor allem von der Mechanik bin ich begeistert und auch etwas erstaunt.Was mir ebenfalls gefällt, ist die Führung des Handgriffes, der sich in einer ordentlichen Position einsetzen lässt und dort nicht herausspringen lässt.Somit entsteht mehr Sicherheit. Jedoch muss man aber darauf hinweisen, dass das Gemüse oder ähnliches in den Trichter passen muss. Oder man auf diesen verzichtet und mit der Hand oder dem oberen, roten Haltegriff ohne exakte Führung arbeiten muss.Die Klingen besitzen eine gute Schärfe. Die Ergebnisse sind sauber zugeschnitten, allerdings muss man bei harten Gegenständen mit mehr Schwung und Kraft arbeiten, was normal ist.Die Stabilität ist ebenfalls gut, was an den Füßen und dem Griff auf der Rückseite liegt. Durch eine Einkerbung kann man den Gemüseschneider auch auf eine Schüssel legen, wobei das Ganze dann etwas instabiler wird.Die Reinigung ist etwas aufwendiger, was an den vielen Funktionen liegt, aber auch vollkommen im Rahmen, da man eine Bürste mitgeliefert bekommt.Natürlich ist das Produkt nicht perfekt, bei dem ein oder anderen Gemüse tue ich mir schwer, weil es beispielsweise zu groß für die Auflagefläche ist und erst vorgeschnitten werden muss.Wenn man die Führung benutzt, kann man hier auch nicht die Halterung abhobeln, wie beim Gerät meiner Schwerster. Plastik im Salat schmeckt nicht wirklich gut.Und immer schön auf die Finger achten!

Ich hatte vorher einen Börner-Hobel und wollte nicht mehr die ganzen einzelnen Teile herumliegen haben und mit deshalb diesen Hobel bestellt. Diese ist vom Preis her günstiger und erfüllt auch seinen Zweck. Allerdings ist die Handhabung nicht so einfach wie beim Börner, da für das Hobeln mehr Kraft aufgewendet werden muss. Die Einstellung für das schneiden von Rauten und Würfeln ist sehr schön, aber auch etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig und erfordert viel Druck auf den Handschutz, sofern es sich um harte Gemüsesorten, wie z.B. Kartotten handelt. Im Großen und Ganzen bin ich damit zufrieden, würde mich aber wieder für den Börner Hobel entscheiden.
