Update: After a week or so, the remote seems to be working fine. Not sure why this happened but when I press the 'On' button, the light turns on and when I press the 'Off' button, it turns off - just like it's supposed to, Not sure why it took so long to start operating correctly but all is good so I am bumping my rating to 5 stars._________________________________________________________Gotta love Amazon. I ordered this unit on Saturday. I received the wrong unit (not the one I ordered) on Monday. I notified them them right away and got a replacement on Tuesday. Great service.I like the way the remote looks and the install is pretty simple. The remote seems a bit touchy. There are 4 toggle switches on it. Three of them are for different bases (even though I only bought two) and the fourth is for all of them at once. The switch comes with a surface mount wall plate (with mounting screws and anchors for drywall). The switch itself sits inside the wall plate - held by magnets. I installed the bases in a dual light fixture. The switch is advertised to work from 100 feet away but I have it installed about 4 feet from the bases. Turning the lights on works very consistently but turning them off is hit and miss. Sometimes it works on the first press, other times I will need to press the off button 4-5 times before the light will turn off. Occasionally, the individual switch will not work no matter how many times I press it but the 'ALL' switch seems to work. Once in a while, I can't get the lights to turn off at all and I need to remove the switch from the wall plate and hold it next to the base and just keep pressing the 'off' button until the light turns off. It will eventually work but it's a bit annoying to stand there, pressing the switch over and over until it turns off. I still like the unit and will live with the shortcoming.

The sockets were already paired. Takes 1 minute to unscrew the bub, add the new socket and screw in. Wah-lah, it works. you can control the 2 lamps individually or switch them on together. So far its perfect, but time will tell on durability.

This was perfect for my basement storage room with no light switches (only pull-chain ceiling mounted bases). Half worked, the other would not turn off consistently. Took some back and forth, but eventually seller made good and refunded the purchase. Open to trying this brand in the future.

I have a home that is 125 years old and still has some very old electrical wiring in some areas. The kitchen light had a pull chain hanging down in the center of the room, and no wall switch. In the middle of the night it was not fun trying to find it. My electrician told me about this when he was doing some other work on the house, and trying to save me some money. The light bulb attachment screws right in to the socket, and you mount the wall switch wherever you want. I love it! I also purchased two bulb attachments with one wall switch to control the lamps on either side of my couch, and it took me a minute to get them both coordinated, but it was very simple to figure out. Highly recommended!

I received yesterday. I installed the item according to the instructions and it indeed turned the light on. I tried dimming the light and it did not work. I sat down at my desk and began working. Ten minutes later I was sitting in the dark. I took the light out of the fixture, removed the device put the light back in and it came on just fine.

I bought these to avoid have to replace a pull chain light fixture in a hallway. Ive been using this for about a month without fail. I can turn on all or just one with with a touch of the right button! I wish I got this sooner......now I have light whenever i want and no longer have to worry about a pull chain breaking.

The switch is awesome! It allows me to turn one or both lights on in my utility room and shut them both off with one click. Highly recommend if you have somewhere needing a remote switch.

easy to use. now i can add light in areas that were too tough. used this to add a ceiling pendant in the middle of a very tall ceiling.
