All I wanted was a flexible brush for cleaning the tubing of my hydration bladder. I used to have a great wire brush from REI that was (as REI items are) ridiculously over-priced: $15-20 for a brush attached to a wire. But now I wish I had bought it again because, with all the various brushes in this kit, none can clean the lengthy tubing. The reason is because the wire is not rigid enough. Imagine trying to attach a brush to a shoelace and using that to clean the tube....you won't be able to insert it more than a few inches because there is not enough "give" in the shoelace. The REI wire brush had the perfect balance between flexibility yet was rigid enough to be propelled through the plastic tubing. If you need to clean the longer hoses that connect the mouthpiece to the hydration bladder, then this kit is NOT for you. It might do the trick at cleaning the mouthpiece alone, though.

This product would be perfect if only if the bristles on the long flexible brush weren't so hard and instead were more flexible or cloth-like. If they were softer they would be able to do a better job of removing the water on the hose to also aid in drying the hose. I imagine if you're drinking fluids that are pulpy or protein drinks (that have sediment) out of the hydration pack, then you would need a hard bristle brush to clean the hose. But if you're only drinking water or energy drinks, I don't see the sense in it.

I purchased these items to use with my backpack water bladder. Since my son took my first backpack and used it for a hiking trip, I ended up using the collapsible hanger to get his bladder dried out. He had sanitized his bladder by had left it on the counter laying down flat. I hung it up on hanger to dry. I ended up resanitizing it and opened up my new cleaning package for the hanger. I used it, and his bladder dryed out completely. I so glade I ordered this set and probably will oreder an extra one for my son to have one too.

A little hard to get the long brush to the end of the drinking tube, and to pull it back out, and you definitely can't get a "scrubbing" back-and-forth action at the far end, but that would require a long stiff introducer rod rather than a flexible metal tube, I suppose. Couldn't get the drinking tube perfectly clean after two passes, but certainly a great improvement.

I used hydration bladder for a hike. Used cleaning kit to clean afterwards & it worked great. The only thing I would suggest is to place the open end of bladder with fan blowing into it or it will take days to completely dry out inside.

Certainly worked to clean out the hose for my water bladder. It had gotten pretty yucky and nothing else I tried at home would reach the gunk. This did it easily. And, that gunk was so gross. Do yourself a favor and get one of these if you have a water bladder. You need it.

The functionality of this device is good however it's a bit awkward to get it in and out of the bag. But that's a small trade-off to get what you want.

I use these to clean out a camel pack , but also my electric coffee maker. I keep them in the kitchen drawer, so they are handy.They are just like the picture,

I found this product to be useless. I have only used it once as I find it more efficient to clean and dry the Blader right away using cloth or paper towel. The brushesare ok but are flimsy.

Quality of the kit is high. A reasonable investment to rid mould from my hydration bladder and hose

Works exactly as it should, cleans very well without scratching your hydropak.

Love the fact that this kit actually has a long enough tool to clean the drinking tube.
