I was in the market for a new scan tool so looked around at various manufacturers, I decided to buy the Xtool D7W for the following reasons. I have an Xtool diagnostics tool so know that they make good tools - Easy of use - the new interface is intuitive and easy to navigate - New type C charging port so can charge on the go or in vehicle. I have had communications with the Xtool customer services on various occasions so as to clarify or ask questions and can say that customer services are very responsive and have always managed to resolve any issue that I may of had in a timely manner. The D7W feels solid in the hand due to the rubberised finish so will hopefully be able to withstand everyday knocks and bumps. The New Xtool interface is an improvement on the previous D7 and I must say the introduction of the Wifi connection is has made a big difference with the scan time as this tool will scan the vehicle a fair bit quicker than other tools I have used, the wireless connection means that you can take the tool around the vehicle in cases where you want to actuate lights etc, the report generated is easy to read and informative and you can even do an internet search direct from the tool so as to clarify what maybe causing the issue as well as being able to view and graph live data so as to hopefully get to the bottom of whatever is causing the issue. The device now comes with a type C charger port which is a major game changer as with the previous charger connection you had to make sure the tool had a good level of charge before using it whereas with the type C charger connection you can just plug it in to a power outlet in the car you are scanning using a standard USB car charger. All in all a well made tool that is a nice addition to any weekend or full time mechanics toolbox that will assist with fault diagnosis and even comes with bidirectional control (vehicle dependant) so that you can test individual components as well as component resets and activations etc. Well done Xtool,

I recently purchased the xTool D7W car diagnostic tool, and I couldn’t be more impressed with its performance. As a car enthusiast and DIY mechanic, having a reliable and accurate diagnostic tool is essential, and the xTool D7W has truly exceeded my expectations. So this is my 3rd time trying to find a diagnostic computer that could do it all and wasn't an unsupported clone (looking at Launch on Amazon!) Firstly I must commend Lemon on the support provided, even before this purchased they advised they couldn't confirm the tablet could do what I needed (after I sent my VIN) and I should try another brand. However I took the gamble as Amazon's return polices are pretty good and I was not let down. I have been able to force the regen of my DPF, slowly bringing back the performance of my van which wasn't well looked after by previous owners it would seem! The wireless feature makes it much easier to troubleshoot but does mean that the tablet needs to be charged separately. Also leaving the dongle connected overnight will rapidly drain the van battery, unlike Bluetooth dongles but that is a user issue rather than product.

I have bought this diagnostic tool fir my Mazda CX-5 2.2D. Great value for the money. I had to look for a while until I found a tool compatible with Asian cars as majority from this price range are saying that will work but they can not access more than one ECU. Great connectivity, it is making updates every, customer service are quick and responsive. Interface it is intuitive and easy to use.

Dopo aver contattato il servizio clienti e supporto tecnico, sempre molto presenti e disponibili, bravi !!! , ho ricevuto aggiornamenti specifici che hanno reso lo strumento pienamente compatibile con le mie esigenze. Adesso lo uso regolarmente e posso dire che offre: Una Diagnosi completa su tutti i sistemi del veicolo: motore, ABS, trasmissione, ecc. Funzioni speciali e reset davvero utili: DPF, freni, olio, TPMS e molto altro Test attivi e bi-direzionali per controllare valvole, attuatori e tante altre cose La Connessione Wi-Fi stabile e veloce, senza cavi scomodi che comunque sono in dotazione. Schermo ampio e batteria integrata che permettono di lavorare in libertà Il punto forte, per me, è stato proprio il supporto tecnico XTOOL: raramente un’azienda segue così bene i clienti e rilascia aggiornamenti dedicati. 🔧 In sintesi: strumento potente, affidabile e con un servizio clienti che fa davvero la differenza. Aber von vorne. Habe mir einige Geräte und Tests auf YT angeschaut, und mich letztendlich für Das D7W entschieden. Gründe hier für waren, 36 Servicefunktionen und natürlich die 3 Jahre update + WiFi-Dongle. Das Gerät wurde pünktlich und schnell geliefert. Die erst Inbetriebnahme war auch schnell erledigt, habe aber noch keine Updates installiert, da das Gerät am Anfang nur in Englisch zur Verfügung steht. Aber das umstellen auf Deutsch war auch kein Problem, dazu muss man einfach eine Email an den Support mit Angabe der SN und welche Sprache man gerne hätte senden. Die gewünschte Sprache wird dann innerhalb kürzester Zeit vom Support autorisiert. Nach der Autorisierung, habe ich meine gewünschte Sprache ausgewählt, und erst dann alle Updates gemacht. Zum Gerät selbst ist mir aufgefallen, dass man in den Benutzer Einstellungen wo man seine Adresse angeben kann im „Adressfeld“ am besten mit einem Komma arbeiten sollte, da Straße, Postleitzahl und Ort in das gleiche Feld geschrieben werden. Das ist aber nur wichtig für diejenigen, die gerne eine schöne Adresszeile in den Berichten die man erstellen kann haben möchten. Dann die Verbindung zum Auto ist dank WiFi-Dongle und Autoscan kein Problem. Zum Dongle selbst eine kleine Anmerkung wer wenig Platz an seinem OBD-Anschluss hat wie ich an meinem Grand-Scenic 3 der hat ein wenig mit dem entfernen das Dongles zu kämpfen, da die Nase vom OBD-Anschlus in der Aussparung des Dongles einrastet, und man diesen dann kaum mehr runter bekommt. Die Funktionen vom Gerät sind echt umfangreich. Konnte zum Beispiel an meinem Auto dank Live-Daten den defekten ABS-Sensor genau lokalisieren. Die Autoerkennung funktioniert auch einwandfrei, nur sollte beachtet werden, dass wenn man einen Bericht erstellt, dass Baujahr vom Auto nicht erfasst wird. Wenn man den Bericht aber speichern möchte, bietet die Software eine Option zur Auswahl des Baujahrs an. Sollte es vergessen werden, ist das auch kein Problem, denn man kann die Kopfdaten vom Bericht im Nachhinein ändern und das Baujahr nachtragen. Wer einen WiFi-Drucker sein eigen nennt, kann den Bericht auch gleich ausdrucken. Mein Gerät ist schon eine neuere Version, da es nur noch eine USB-C Anschluss hat. Mitgeliefert wird also nur noch ein USB-C Kabel, ein kleiner USB-C auf normalen USB Adapter und natürlich ein Netzteil mit EU und US Aufsatz zum Laden an einer Steckdose. Der Stromverbrauch im Betrieb ist recht hoch, aber dank USB-C Kabel und Adapter ist das Laden an einem normalen USB-Anschluss im Auto während des Betriebs kein Problem. Sollte kein USB im Auto vorhanden sein, kann man sich auch ein USB-Adapter für den Zigarettenanzünder im Baumarkt besorgen. Schön wäre es noch, wenn man nach der Umstellung der Sprache von Englisch auf eine andere die Englische Sprache deinstallieren könnte, denn mir ist aufgefallen, dass der zur Verfügung stehende Speicherplatz von 64GB auf ca. 53% schrumpft. Dieses führe ich darauf zurück, dass zwei Sprachen Installiert sind. Alles in allem bin ich der Meinung, dass ich bei diesem Gerät die richtige Wahl getroffen habe und gebe dafür 5 Sterne.
