I bought this game when I found myself stuck with new ideas for teaching my two kids italian .... I had plenty of books and used the internet a lot, but the idea of being pinned down to a chair to do their italian lesson .... did not appeal them very much! Then I saw this game and thought of giving it a try! It certainly worked, they just thought we were playing and did not see it as learning. There are lot of words to pick up, so beginners won't get bored at all. By following the colour and shape code it is easy to create a multitude of new phrases that keep the game fresh at all times. The kids were picking up words quite fast and so I had to buy deck 3-4 to increase their vocabulary. I'm waiting for deck 5-6 to come out!!!Because the game is just a pack of cards per deck .... you can take it with you everywhere you go .... perfect for long journeys on the plane or train.

I received the two Kloo games in perfect condition and very quickly. Entirely my fault, but I had expected something a little larger, like a board game. If I had read the description and dimensions better I would have expected the little packs of cards. The cards themselves are great and useful to help my nephew learn Italian. A lovely idea for all of the family. I may well buy the other packs when they have finished with these two.

My only positive to write is delivery was on time and cards were in perfect condition. The game is not a game by my family's definition as it is neither enjoyable nor entertaining. We are in a dual language family and love games and hence thought to give this a try. Unfortunately, we found it did not help language learning and in fact native speakers struggled with it as you are encouraged to form sentences that are quite mechanical and not native to the language at all. The choice of words taught are questionable and for us, it actually discouraged language learning as it's so boring to play. Haven't binned as don't want to waste and truly not worth passing on. It appears to be well marketed and reviewed which baffles us but many language products are. It's quite a money making market probably but to learn a language there must be some joy in the process and unfortunately there is none in playing this game.

I teach Spanish Italian and English and I bought this game as a fun way for the students (ranging in age from 10 - 17) they absolutely loved it, we worked out different ways to use it and in the larger groups they were totally immersed and became very competitive indeed. To see how easy it was to pick up and see how even the reluctant ones absolutely loved it was a joy. Those who often found it hard to concentrate were immersed in the game and I watched how they patiently explained it to others. Brilliant, even my Dad now wants to learn using this. Thank you for an inventive and clear game which opens up languages to those who may have been afraid that they simply don't have the ability. Genius.

Good idea but the instructions are not very clear.

My mum and I are both learning Italian so I got this for her Christmas present. We have played it quite a bit and have found it useful to practice vocabulary but also putting sentences together. An enjoyable game.

I bought the first four decks of the Italian version of this game for a 6 year old first year learner of Italian. Although she has been learning for 3 terms she has done very little formal grammar learning but she is able to use these cards easily to make sentences of 5 or 6 words in length. You can follow the suggested game play or make you own rules. Althouh these cards are not pictorial, the recipient loves to play with them and she has spent many hours practicing amusing sentence construction then reading and translating the fruits of her labour. Each card has a colour coded clue to aid construction of sentence if you run into difficulty. For such a simple premise, these games allow a huge amount of learning in a wonderfully fun way. I cannot recommend these enough.

I bought this to take on a holiday to Italy with two fellow learners. The game was very easy to pick up and we were delighted to be able to use some newly learnt words when eating out. It has been cleverly thought out. Would definitely recommend.
