Works perfectly
The old one has a deteriorating rubber portion. Took it off in 2 minutes using a couple of plastic trim tools. No need to remove lining from inside the trunk, on my E90.Unplugged the old, took this new piece, reattach the plug and pressed into the cavity. All good to go.

Perfect fit. Easy to install.
My boot lid button was disintegrating, so I picked this up to replace the part.This is a perfect fit for my 2012 BMW 128i (E82). I just popped out the old one using a plastic spudger, cleaned up the disintegrating rubber schmutz on the boot lid, reattached the wire, and popped the new button back in. Done.Works like new.
