MDR Replacement Ear Pads for Sony MDR-7506, MDR-7806, MDR-V6, MDR-CD900ST

I've had my MDR-V6's since the early 80's and the ear pads were starting to look a bit shabby, cracked, peeling and a little harder than when new. I just got these Compete Audio MDR Replacement Ear Pads for SONY MDR-7506, MDR-V6, MDR-CD900ST AND THEY FIT LIKE A DREAM! Easy off and easy on, truly. I took about 5 minutes per ear, with patience to slip the 'lip' into the groove. Easy. The audio is no different than with the stock ones. They're as soft as the stock versions and they only cost $9!!! You cannot go wrong with these. I looked at all of the versions available on Amazon and chose these because of the high customer rating and they claimed to be leather/foam....yes, they appear to be leather, not leatherette. I work with leather, daily... Buy them, you'll appreciate their quality. And you can always return them if you don't. What's better than that?

Since the Sony headphones appear to last forever, I keep a few of these around. This is my third replacement of ear pads and likely the best. I can't compare to the originals any longer but the feel and fit is very much like the last set that was close to original. A little tighter and a little easier to install. Great value for the money.

If you've owned a pair or six of Sony MDR-7506 headphones for any length of time, you know that the stock earpads basically just fall apart after a year or two. I don't know who designed those leatherette nightmares, but they should be publicly shamed. You will have to replace them. And it will be a pain. These are an acceptable substitute for the highway robbery prices that Sony charges for their stock replacements. Buy an extra pair of them or two, stick them in a drawer, and forget about them until a pair of Sony's falls off the singer's head in the middle of "THE" vocal take...the ONE...and then he rage quits the band and goes home. All because of Sony's choice of earpads. Don't be that guy. Replace your earpads.

These are working great as replacements for my Sony MDR 7506s. Upon first placing them, the fit seemed a little off, but after tweaking it a bit, they sat into the grooves perfectly. The ear pad material seems quite a bit harder and more "plastic", but it could simply be a function of how new they are. My guess is they'll become more pliable over time.Anyway, I was thinking I'd have to get a new pair of headphones, but these replacements have given my old pair a brand new life.

After about 6 years I finally had to order replacement ear pads for my sony MDR 7506 headphones. The pads that I received were pretty easy to install. I gave a 4 star here because they were a tiny bit tight making it hard to install, ut probably in the long run more likely to stay on. I gave a 3 star for comfort because i think these ear pads are just slightly smaller then the originals. I wear glasses and so having a smaller ear pad sometimes causes problems with my glasses pushing against my skull.Overall these ear pads are 5 stars. They are what i expected and good quality.

I replaced the original ear pads that were deteriorating after about 3 years of use. I immediately noticed these were slightly smaller. Not by a lot, but it is noticeable. I'd guesstimate around 1.5cm to 2cm less in diameter. I would measure, but I already threw out the original ear pads. They also feel firmer, not as cushiony as the originals. While the skin/covering is very similar to the originals, the covering is much more taught/tighter than the originals. The originals had those wrinkles because the skin had some give to it. These don't have that. That's probably what makes it feel firmer. I don't wear my headphones for hours on end so I will just keep these. But if you are someone who wears them all day, these differences may bother you more than me.

Once you invest in quality headphones, you are always comparing them to others you use. I have two pair of Sony headphones, they work well, but the earpads tend to disintegrate over time. These are excellent replacements for those pads. They make my head phones new again. Great product. Quick service, and good customer service. I like this company.

These were a great replacement for the price. Side by side with the OEM pads I can tell the difference, e.g. the cover on the cushions is smoother and slightly thicker on the replacements than the thin crinkled material of the OEM cushion covers, but the difference is negligible to me. They feel and sound fine, and are certainly an improvement on the original cushions which were tearing in many places.
