Finally! A great sealer.
I've tried several sealers and had to return them for one reason or another. The one I did keep didn't last. There is always a pin hole that either doesn't seal or burns through yhe bag so air gets in. So I'm back to square one. This one was a prime special. So even though I never heard of the brand, it had many good reviews so I gave it a try. It also had free returns so it wouldn't be a hassle if I had to return. This is by far the best I've tried, including 2 name brand sealers. There's 3 main features on this that are huge improvements compared to others.1) It has a silicone gasket instead of a foam one that seams to be more hygienic.2) The seal itself is wider than others so I think it would be less prone to leak.3) The best part is there's a guide where you place the opened end of the bag in so you know it's in the correct area to vacuum. It also helps to hold the bag in place while you close the cover. Works correctly every time without having to adjust it and creates an impressive vacuum.Hopefully it will live up to my 1st impression because right now I love it!And no. I'm not paid by the company. I didn't receive item for free or for review. I bought it taking advantage of the great discount offered to all prime members. I'm writing this review to help others because of the frustration I felt having to order and return so many duds. Hope this helps on your search.

Does not suck the air out of the bag
I have tried to use this sealer to be fair, but I give up. It rarely works. It seals fine, but fails to remove the air out of the bags most of the time. I have even experimented by only placing a small item in a bag so that there is plenty of room. It still fails. Unfortunately, since I kept trying to make it work, my 30-day return window with Amazon has expired. The company that makes the sealer, "Gasbybe", advertises an 18-month warranty on the product, but there is no way to contact the company, even on their website. I have no choice but to just throw it away and learn a lesson to stick with known vacuum sealer companies.

Works - but not as advertised
I have had several vacuum sealers over the years and all are about the same - and none are as great as advertised. I chose this one because it advertised a better material for its sealer strip. The CON: it has no cutter and it has no ability to store a roll for make-it-yourself bags (but this probably allows it to be smaller in size, which is good). So cutting your own bags off a roll is not a dealbreaker, but you have to be sure to cut rolls straight across. PRO: it comes with LOTS of pre-made bags. Now how does it work? I was just about to return it because it would not seal after sucking out the air. I tried it several times and the air was evacuated but when I removed the bag it was not sealed!!! So just before I was to return it here is what I did: I repeated the vac-seal and then before I removed the bag from the machine I hit the "seal only" button. Voila - now it was free of air AND sealed. I'm sure this is not the way it is supposed to work - but it does work this way, so I am keeping it. There is one more thing I like about this one: the removable tray (to catch liquids) has a "tab" for putting the bag to be sealed under - none of the other sealers I have had has this - and it is helpful in your knowing that the bag is positioned correctly. A minor point, but when bags have not been vacuum sealed well with other machines there is always the thought that you might not have positioned the bag correctly - that is no longer a worry with this machine. SO....4 stars not 5 because of the sealing after vacuuming "probelm," but enough stars to make it a "buy" because the work around solves the problem.

Vacuum Doesn't Hold
I've has this sealer for several months now. It is very difficult to get a good vaccuum when packing foods. The seals don't always hold and the vaccuum is not fully pulling out all the air and always leaves pockets of aur. I was concerned about this when I first received it and should have returned it at that point but I didn't. I'm still using it but am really dissapointed in this sealer!

Nice vacuum sealer
This vacuum sealer gets the job done with the lot a lot of bells and whistles. It has a setting for dry and moist foods as well as a separate setting for seal only which comes in handy. If you have liquids that I’ve not been frozen first. The seal appears to seal the bag as well. I have not had any issues with failing seals so far.
