Food labels are purposefully confusing. This book can help you learn the language of the label.
Food labels are purposefully confusing. I often see people struggle with reading the food labels and understanding them. It is like they were written in another language that only dietitians, nutritionists and some fitness enthusiasts can understand. This book can help you learn the language of the label. I would also recommend Kimberly Lord Stewart's Eating between the Lines as a complimentary book to this one. I benefitted from both books.

A super helpful guide to healthy eating!
In a world where understanding what’s in our food is more challenging than ever, this book has become my go-to guide for navigating the grocery store. With descriptions of just about every term, ingredient and statistic you’ll ever find on a food package, it’s made my life infinitely easier. Now instead of searching the Internet, I just look up whatever terms or ingredients I’m trying to learn more about. I highly recommend this book for anyone who’s looking for a quick and easy way to understand what’s in the food they eat or just how to eat cleaner and better.

FONT WAY TOO SMALL
I'm shocked that only one reviewer mentioned the "tiny print size". I'm sure the info in this book is good; however one needs a magnifying glass and microscope to read it!!! Impossible for me. I gave the book away. I wouldn't have purchased if I knew the font was so small. BEWARE! Not necessarily a rip-off, but.......

Simplify shopping for food with this book!
Shopping for food can be a daunting experience, even if you know what you're doing! Bonnie Taub-Dix helps to demystify this experience of us, her readers, in her new book. She decodes the labels on food, explains what all of those numbers and logos mean, and walks us through a grocery store aisle-by-aisle to help us better understand how to make the right decisions for ourselves when buying food.

Print Size
I am sure this book is very informative and I would really like to read it. This is a topic that I am very interested in. However the print size is the smallest I have EVER seen in a book. Even with glasses on it is very difficult to read and you really have to strain to see the print.
