I bought this book and "Essentials of Circular Machine Knitting" as gift for my wife, and she is thrilled with them. She says she likes the focus of the books being a bit different than regular instructions for sock machines. This is a 8 1/2 by 11 inch book, and although not very thick there is a lot of information and photos in the 90+ pages.Although very pleased with the books, I was disappointed that it took Amazon 5 days to get the books in the mail, and then they sent them UPS so they took a day or two longer than if they had shipped them with the postal service.

This is a good reference book for people with a lot of equipment and machines. There is a wide range of information in clear chart form. Unfortunately, a very small percentage of the information is helpful specifically to me or is information I have already. Also, for an expensive book, the photos are very blurry and unprofessional.

Lucy has a way with words! This is not the first or last of her books I will buy.Clear directions. Helpful encouragement. Knowledgeable about sock knitting machines. This author relates to the newest sock knitter or someone who has knit few hundred .

This book is for a specific type of circular knitting machine, not for the recently popular Addi or Sentro/Jamit types. It shows more than socks can be made on this machine.
