The 6-quart size is my go-to sweet-spot—pefect for hearty stews, braised short ribs, baked sourdough, creamy Mac and cheese, roasted chickens, or even cobblers. I’ve slow-cooked beans in it all day, used it to deep-fry chicken, nad even served a table-side chili straight from it — talk about versatility! I’m a Lodge-girly anyway — like Lodge NEVERRRRRR fails me! Whether you’re just starting your cast iron journey or your’re already knee-deep in Dutch ovens like me, this Lodge is a workhorse you’ll reach for time and time again. Why? I love Le Cre****, but I just couldn’t bring myself to spend over four hundred dollars on a Dutch oven from them, so I bought this one. I have quite a few other enameled cast iron from LC, and I see no difference in performance. The lid to this Dutch oven fits well and stays in place, and the heat distribution appears even. My product arrived well packaged with no damage. If you are looking for a decent budget option to LC, you won’t be disappointed.

Lovely ombre blue and $10 less than the color that was advertised on sale as a pre-Prime day special. The blue one is the one I've had my eye on for years. So excited to get it for a great price. I immediately made rice krispie treats in it. Never had such good success in my thinner pots.

It hits all the marks. Great for baking my sour dough bread. Perfect size for a big batch of chili. The cast iron conducts slow even heat so burning isn’t an issue. And, I love the enamel coating; so much easier to clean. Plus I got the green one and it’s gorgeous!

I initially ordered a different item, but it couldn't be delivered. After reading the reviews, I decided to order this one, and I have no regrets. It arrived with a small chip on the rim of the lid, but the enamel was completely intact. I've already baked bread in it six times and also used it to braise meat - I really liked it. I hope it lasts a long time.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Beautiful Dutch oven. Unfortunately I had to return it because it was too large for my needs.I bought a smaller one of the same brand instead.

Works great, BUT, chips extremely easily. Lid handle could be more secure than a standard screw. Otherwise does the job as good as high end comparisons.

I bought this as an affordable dutch oven for my sourdough baking project. Not knowing if I'd stick with it, I wanted a more budget version of my higher end French dutch oven. Looks wise, I love the vintage look of this and the antiqued color. Since dutch ovens get kinda beat up and water stained in the high heat oven, I kinda like the patina look. It's a perfect size for baking dutch oven but could also be used for soups, sauces, whatever. It stands up the heat and baking weekly with no issues. It is heavy as expected with cast iron, so no complaints there. Very easy to clean and no chips or scratches. Love.
