I brought the guitar for my grandson. It functions as described. It is very sturdy. My grandson plays with it but he's mostly attracted to the top portion that lights up. I like the colors chosen which is one of the reasons I purchased it. Oddly I like the music selections and it captures my grandson's attention. I am a soulful music person and my grandson is in to soulful music and reggae. So actually playing it didn't seem like the focus of the guitar as I would preferred because he listens to sensory instruments and dance. He does play it but he is still only 11 months. I wanted to have it for as he gets older since he's close to being a year old.

Bought this for my 3 year old nephew. He absolutely loves rocking out with it! The sound is surprisingly not annoying, which you can't always say about musical toys. I like that it is BPA-free. You won't regret this purchase!

This toy guitar's just like the picture, my little ones love it, it's a steal, sounds great for a toy, and the batteries are still going strong after hours of playtime.

I got this cool electric guitar toy for my 1-year-old grandson. I love the HAP-P-KID Magic Touch Guitar, but my daughter-in-law hates it. She says it sounds bad, isn’t a real instrument, and doesn’t even sound like a guitar. So she doesn’t want my grandson to have it. Well, I’m no musician but I thought it was a pretty clever musical toy! I really don’t see what’s wrong with it. We already had the Magic Touch Drum by HAP-P-KID and she approves of that one! So I don't understand why she doesn't like this guitar. The Magic Touch guitar is only 13x7x2 inches, perfectly sized for toddlers. It’s cute and colorful. It uses 3 AAA batteries. It has lights, sound effects, a volume control, and several different modes in which to play. The guitar neck has touch-sensitive “strings” that you can actually “strum” like a guitar. It has 6 built-in songs to play along with. It has a drum button with 6 different beats as backing tracks. It even has a “whammy bar,” ha. But I'll have to give this item an average 3 stars based on the scale of one person loving it (5 stars) vs. the other person hating it (1 star).
