Love this size over the standard ones
Love this size over the standard ones. The larger size enables you to grow seedlings right up to the size you can transplant into the ground without having to use the large peat pots. The higher dome allows them to grow a little more before you are forced to remove it also.

the unit worked great, it was cheap
Ferry Morse/Jiffy 16 – pellet tomato greenhouse met my expectations and beyond, every single seed that I placed in one of those pallets after it expanded germinated, this product will be used for sure next year, I can't believe how well it works. The pellet pods after they absorb the water and expand seem to retain the water, the soil inside stays moist, so it takes less water to water your seedlings. The water reservoir evenly distributes the water to the palets so you don't have to worry about the over flow of water, overall, the unit worked great, it was cheap, convenient and efficient, highly recommend it. The even greater thing about this product is when you're ready to transplant your plants to your garden, all you need to do is peel back the outer skin, keeping the soil intact and just plant that seedling rate into your garden soil, it's so convenient, you don't have to worry about plant transplant shock that some plants seem to experience when you transplant them to a different environment, they will perfectly adjust to their new environment.

Perfect for Tomatoe Seedlings
So hard to find - and yet so much better then the smaller Jiffy Greenhouses for starting tomatoes. I do save my Jiffy Greenhouses year to year and buy XL Pellets, but I always find myself buying at least one of these each year. It is just what you need to start tomatoes. Make sure you take the top off once the seedlings start to sprout. I move my seedlings to another greenhouse bottom as the seedlings sprout, as they don’t show all at once. Since the pellets get about 3 to 4 inches tall once hydrated, you can wait to transplant the seedlings when they have the second set of leaves. The roots will be growing out the bottom, but they will transplant ok, and the roots will be much longer and healthier before the transplant than they would be if you if you use the 36 mm pellets.

Didn't work for me well.
I bought two different seed starters and planted my seeds at the same time. While seeds in other set sprouted within 7 days as supposed to, seeds in this set did not sprout for almost a month. I tried heat mats, watering differently, nothing. Then after my other plants from other set grew to 10" I finally noticed something started coming out in these pellets. Have no clue why it took so long but it could be user error, could be something wrong with the soil in the set, I don't know but other set is by the same brand, just different in size. Weird.

Perfect for Growing Tomato Plants
I received this on 2/18 and used it to plant tomato seeds. I planted 2 seeds in each pellet, which turned out to be a waste because I believe every seed germinated. I planted half in Early Girl and half in Better Boy. I had to separate them out after 2-3 weeks because the plants got so big. The photo shows how they look after exactly 4 weeks. It is easy for them to dry out like I have them now, so keep an eye on them as you may need to water them every day.

Works great but pretty lightweight.
Bottom was cracked when I got it but I didn't notice until I had used it. Turns out the leaky bottom helps when I over water since the water runs out. The pellets are great and my tomato plants are strong.

Good ol' Jiffy pellets
Good ol' Jiffy pellets. What can i say? They work. Squeeze them and break up the peat before you plant seeds, cover with seed starter mix, bottom water and use heating pads and your seeds will sprout up quickly. I water and then very carefully tear the netting off before I transplant them. Last fall when I pulled my peppers up, the netting was still intact around the root ball which I think, restricted root growth. Other than that, splendid results!

Worked almost too well
I used this to start my tomatoes last year.I planted a couple of seeds in each pellet, as recommended just in case some of them don't take. All except for 1 seed sprouted, meaning I had to decide which tomatoes would live, since I didn't have room to plant them all!Follow the directions, and your tomatoes should sprout within a few days. When replanting, I did cut the pellet mesh, dip the seedlings in water and try to get rid of most of the peat; otherwise the tomatoes' roots might not grow outside of the pellet area and stunt the growth of the tomatoes.

Great product
My marijuanna seeds started growing within 6 days instead of the typical 9-12 days. I'm super impressed and have recommended to all my stoner friends!

The seeding pods are great but the tray was leaky
The seeding pods are great but the tray was leaky - very cheap plastic tray that was cracked on arrival; sadly i noticed it only when watering the pods.

Flimsy but gets the job done.
Seems to be ok. Top is extremely flimsy but I think they all all. Seeds germinated in less then 3 days with the exception of one that might be a dud.

They are Great!
These Larger Jiffy's are just great! Pro tip! Boil the water and they will expand faster and be more sterile against bacterial growth.
