The media could not be loaded. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! I can't say enough how happy I am with this. Great value for the money. I installed a secret bookcase door in my library and this works perfectly. You can pay hundreds of dollars for a kit but this hinge was exactly what I needed. It is smooth and silent. Holds the weight of the door easily. I used pine and poplar for a balance of weight and sturdiness. I didn't want the door to be too heavy because it needs to bear the weight of the books and not overload the hinge. The hings works great. I highly recommend this.NOTE: It is a pain to install but they ALL are! You need to check several times to make sure the top hings is EXACTLY above the bottom hinge so it opens properly. My installation was more difficult because I own an 1880 mansion, so the wood frame was no longer true. Wood warps over the years. Still, we got it installed inside the original frame (I didn't want to remove or damage the original wood) and it worked out great. Expect to take time to double and triple check everything to do this right!

Glides nicely. A little difficult to align top and bottom so that door tilt and bulk are even all the way around. Be prepared to use a router for some of this if you want it to be no-show door. I like it.

I used these for a very big and heavy hidden shelf door I built. These look to be very similar to the “Murphy Door” hinges and are a fraction of the cost.If you want to achieve a true hidden door, it will require some routing and quite a bit of drilling to get these on properly.They are very well built and work as intended, if done correctly. The instructions that come with leave a lot to be desired but they are fairly self explanatory and you can find plenty of videos online to help.In my situation, I routed and flush mounted the hinges to my shelf but did not route and flush mount them to the frame in my wall. If you do your own trim work you can still hide the edge to give that hidden appearance. However if you measure everything correctly then routing / flush mounting on both would not be an issue.

It works

Quality of product seems to be good; however, there is no way to install or remove the door without removing and breaking down the entire door and frame assembly. Without any way to move the upper “pin” install and door removal is a pain in the ass.

Work well and are very strong

Compared to $150 kits - this worked great. Still need to paint our trim and finish it out but the hardware was just what we needed to transform this ikea finnby bookcase into our Murphy door to hide a weird closet section.
