This is a fantastic gadget. We bought it when our daughter had her leg in plaster and got around with a walking aid. It was moderately useful for her then, but after her recovery we've found it indispensible. It's great for getting things (that aren't too heavy) off high shelves, retrieving objects that have fallen behind radiators, or rolled under dressers. Since covid it has become indispensible for picking up letters and small packages and putting them into a quarantine area for a few days.It has a terrific array of flat/curved/angled surfaces for manipulating objects, and is really efficient in use.It is limited to light objects. Don't be tempted to lift e.g. a glass jam from the grocery cupboard. You can't use it to exert a lot of force, e.g. to open or close heavy curtains - you'd break it.The model I bought splits into two for travel. I wouldn't get that again: it stops you pulling with it: the two halves come apart (unless you put duct tape round the join). So I'd get the one-piece version.

Picks up the little tablets she keeps dropping, her socks that appear in the strangest of places and jars, bottles etc that insist on hiding under or behind furniture after our grandson has finished playing with them.At £15, it's the same as four visits to our hospital car park and I've not put my back out once since buying this. To save walking around looking for where she's left it, I'm waiting for a second one to arrive.There's plenty of other ones out there but this Helping Hand one is very well made, light and durable (so far - two months down the line).

I love this little helper. I'm finding it harder to bend down these days so when I drop anything this is the oerfect solution.

Works perfectly when assembled but mine doesn't fold and re-assemble quite as it should. I think. That may just be the one I have. No intent to send it back, it still works. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could.

Once you start using one of these you'll wonder how you ever got on without one...

I have, now, got 6 of these, one in every room in the house. Such a useful implement for reaching for objects, picking things up off the floor (even amazingly tiny things and better still, bits of dropped food eg: a pea) and the magnet on the tip retrieves paper clips and so on so they don't 'mangle' your Dyson or whatever! I retrieve slippers, hankies, magazines, books, tissues and boxes and even the newspaper and post from the letterbox.... and so it goes on!. My son took one for his office to, I think, retrieve paper from his printer, pick up pens and so on! They come in folding/non-folding varieties and I have both and I even took one to the supermarket to help reach the unreachable. Smashing and helpful and I would hate to be without mine.

This device is brilliant for picking up things just out of reach - socks out of the back of the washing machine, remote controls that have fallen on the floor....It has quite a strong gripper and is easy to use. I'm tempted to get another one. A really simple thing that helps so much.

Bought a second one of these and is handy except this one seems out of line and the jaw sticks when closed. Still useable just a pain sometimes. Can't be bothered returning it.

The folding feature is nice but the grabberpuuls apart too easily. I had to tape the pull apart joint.

Der beste Greifer den ich bisher hatte. Man kann damit wirklich sogar Socken anziehen denn man kann mit diesen Greifern fest zupacken was mit anderen Greifern nicht möglich ist. Man kann sie auch zusammenlegen und zum Einkauf mitnehmen. Sie könnten aber etwas länger sein.

Outil correct, fonctionne très bien. Le seul petit reproche "tige trop courte". Livré rapidement. Parfait
