This is a very well-designed canister that not only seals food in, but pushes the air out of the canister (unlike regular canisters that also seal air inside -- which does nothing to keep the canister contents fresh). While it is not cheap, it is very effective for keeping fresh things like coffee beans, where exposure to air affects their quality. Well made and stylish. I have one for regular, one for decaf, and a larger one for the specialty pecans we buy every year from a farm in north Louisiana. The canister keeps them fresh and allows us to enjoy them for months.

I buy expensive green whole leaf tea and nothing is worse than having it go stale. This cannister is perfect for keeping it fresh. It is easy to use and looks nice. It works exactly as advertised. I used to use glass vacuum canisters for my coffee beans, but the glass was very fragile and would break. This canister looks nice enough to keep on the counter, is a great size for a pound of beans and does the job.

Good size, good airtight seal, easy to use. It allows me to keep two or three days worth of beans in my grinder while keeping the remaining beans fresh.

We grind our coffee grains and like to see the oil on the darkest coffee we find. This can with the vacuum sealed area protects from the air drying out the grains, hence preserving the flavour. A must for people who like their full flavoured coffee. This is well built and will last for a long time. Stores easily a full bag, and is easy to handle.

At last, fresh coffee every day! The coffee beans stay as rich as they are when the original pack is opened. Couldn't be more grateful for the taste of my daily mug of French press espresso!

Was not sure if it would work with ground coffee as it might clog the valve.But it does and it is perfect for savouring the aromas a little longer.Holds one 500 g package.The only small issue is that some coffee sticks to the lid and may spill on the counter. But I can live with that!

Brilliant! Most importantly it keeps coffee fresh. Also looks great and very easy to clean. The lid seals well, I find I need to hold the jar to pull the lid off carefully. After washing just check the vent is fully dry by plunging a couple of times and wiping any fine spray on the bottom. Then it's good to go!
