I Keep a pack of these around the home because you never know when you'll need one "until you do." These adapters are pretty decent for the price the fit and finish is good, no flaws or nicks in the threading I've only had to use one pass of Teflon tape when using them so they seem to be nearly spot on in regards to machining and measurement specs.

I used these on a small plumbing project in the bathtub/shower and they worked as expected.

Built of solid chrome plated metal. As advertised.

I needed this to run an outdoor shower; it works perfectly without leaks. The price seems fair.

I couldn’t test these because I needed them to extend a pipe. Instead, these go from NPT female (national pipe taper) to NPS male (national pipe straight), as you might find on a shower head.If you put a square to you can see there’s no taper on the male thread cut, but the taper on the female side is there.Further note that an NPS connection requires a gasket or o-ring to properly terminate, despite images showing the NPS male going into an NPT fitting. Sure it will fit… but it will never seal properly, if at all.The diagrams and images repeatedly indicate that both ends are NPT, so this isn’t just some one-off error. And if it isn’t what I needed, then it’s effectively useless.
