These bowls are so pretty and durable. They are the perfect size for a salad or soup. Also perfect as cat food bowls because of the wide rim. Love this brand.

I really like these little bowls! I bought them for fruit salad, and they are perfect for that. They would also be ideal for ice cream. They're slightly smaller than a typical soup/cereal bowl, and they're pretty -- the edges have a gentle curve to them, and the inside is shiny while the outside is more matte. The glass feels sturdy and not overly fragile; I've bumped them against granite counters a few times with no chipping. They're dishwasher-safe and stackable too. And you can't beat the price! Very pleased with these.

I bought these for corporate catering. I took a chance on the "small" size (I believe capacity was not specified), but they were plenty big for fruit salad/yogurt/cereal/soup. They hold up to 1 and 1/3 cups liquid. Thin/delicate-looking but sturdy enough none broke during recent catering event. Pretty, softly fluted edges. Stack very efficiently, taking up very little storage room. Interesting finish--interior looks like a standard gloss, but exterior has a matte/pearl finish. If you're trying to match other dishes, this might not be your choice, but if you're just going for "white," I highly recommend!

The bowls actually turned out to be larger than expected. They are nice and deep, adequately holding a bowl of soup, ice cream, dips, cereals, beaten eggs, sauces...you mame it!. As others have mentioned, the bowls have a glossy interior, with an exterior "matte" finish (with only a slight "sheen"). They are stackable which is a huge "plus" in my cramped cupboards, and were produced in Spain. The bowls are constructed of tempered milk glass, and the product label (pictured) states, "Vidrio Opal Templado" ("Opal Tempered Glass"). The gently fluted edges add a modern touch to a very practical lttle bowl...these are sure to find a multitude of uses at our home!

While everything else we ordered from Bormioli came broken into tiny glass shards, these were the only items not broken, a testament to the bowls' quality and durability. These bowls are like Corelle but better. Beautiful. I love the square shape at the top of the bowl. When you stack a number of bowls together, they give off a slight green hue. I would think very carefully before purchasing normal glassware from Bormioli through the mail. We have yet to wash off all of the glass shards from the other items and start using the bowls.

Absolutely lovely and usable bowls. They go well with my plain unpainted Ranson Haviland Limoges, and also with my plain Corning Corelle. They are an appropriate size for salad, soup, cereal, and for holding largish quantities of "grab" food left on the table for snacking (think M&Ms, nuts, Jellybellies).

Happy with the quality. Just like other review said - from Spain not Italy. No mark saying they dishwasher/microwave safe though. I'll have to research via google.

Great size for lots and lots of uses. I wanted something fairly compact for the dishwasher to save water/space. They are a different finish than my white ceramic dishes, but it is a pleasant look, kind of shinier, smooth with perhaps a slight blueish white hint.
