I thought item also come with an actual tape measure.

Measurements were off by a factor of 3. That is, 12 inches was reported to be 4 inches long. Same for metric (90mm read as 30 mm). I returned it.

ok, so its not perfect, seems to be a few cm off and when you are measuring against a lip of something or an object it might not be perfect. good enough for what i would use it for.

awesome
