100% must have for rehab.
I bought the chair 2 weeks before having total shoulder replacement. I'm 5'10'' 185 lbs and almost 80 I got the large. Can't imagine anything smaller. Not sure what they call the material but it looks and feels like a fine leather. Its great. Spills clean up with damp rag and its easy to slide in and out of. The extended foot rest is perfect. The unlimited positioning is great. Chair came in 3 boxes. Base, back, and 2 sides. Base box weighed 90 lbs. The ups guy carried it into my front hall way and I slid it real close to where I wanted the chair, back and side were no issue. Sides slid into brackets with ease but the back took a little longer. I did it myself but I would recommend having help. I heat feature is nice on cold night but the massage is more irritating then helpful. I rolled a beach towel up with rubber bands for support rather the a small pillow which seem to get all crunched up. $700 bucks ain't cheap but its worth it to be able to sleep well. I tried sleeping with my wife but could not get my arm to stay in a numeral position. For my size the chair is wide enough to kind of sorta roll on my good arm side which helps. I am a 90%back sleeper but the little side sleep helps. Like I said 700 ain't cheap but it's worth every penny.God bless you with your surgery. Remember. If you don't do therapy 110 % you might as well forget everything else.

Solid Chair
I bought this chair because I was to have hip replacement surgery. It is a blessing to have! I'm a 270 lb man and getting out of chairs was going to be a problem with the furniture I have. It lifts me up and out of the chair. It is a big help keeping my new hip safe and gives me plenty of positions try and beat the pain. So far the only thing I would change would be to have a low heat setting. It gets pretty warm but it is only on or off. It has plenty of massage settings. It seems to be very sold chair. The Faux leather is soft and not sticky. I received mine 2 days after I ordered it. It came in 3 boxes. It was very easy to assemble. The base had a bent leg from aggressive shipping. I called the company and they took my info and I sent them pictures of the damage. They quickly sent out a new base. I received the new base 3 days after I contacted them. Very happy with this chair!

Comfort
Assembly was not difficult.I do regret it's not a wall hugger and I have to put it almost in middle of my room.It is pretty and comfortable. Love the home feature so it doesn't take so long to get up.

After only a week, we are very pleased with this chair
First of all, know that the box that the base comes in is HEAVY.Fortunately, I have a dolly and straps so I was able to wrestle the box onto the dolly and secure it so I could move it. That was the only way I could get it from my driveway to my front stoop. Then I had to tip the box up and onto the stoop, and repeat into my front door.THIS WAS NOT EASY.I did it, but I would not recommend assuming that it will be easy to get into the house or up stairs without help. The other two boxes are large but not heavy.Once everything was in my living room, right inside the front door, I was able to carefully unbox the parts and assemble the chair without any issue. Once assembled, the chair itself is fairly light for its size and easy to move into place. Why I chose THIS chair:-Mcombo consistently gets high reviews over other sites I have researched,-Dual motor, infinite positioning, including feet above head, and LIFT-Extended footrest allows a chair to be comfortable for a taller person without going to a supersized behemoth of a chair-No overstuffed headrest to push ones head forward-OK looking (none of these type chairs are attractive to my taste)-Simple controls and Home button to simply reset chair to base position-Massage and lumbar heatI purchased a 3 year insurance plan so should anything fail, I shouldn't have to go through too much aggravation to get it resolved. My 80 year old husband has crippling arthritis in his knees and limited mobility. He needs help getting to standing from a soft chair or sofa. So, the Lift takes care of that.He has dementia, so he needs simple controls that do not need to be explained over and over. Once he is planted in his Throne he doesn't move around much except to go tho the bathroom. The controls that position the chair are visual icons that are LIT UP (Thank You!) and the HOME button is in the middle. Easy for him to see and figure out! While the massage function is not very robust, it is helpful with stimulating circulation and easing stiffness for one who is sitting for long periods. He is always cold so the lumbar heat is just enough to be cozy with out overheating. And I don't have to worry that it will just stay on and cook him, LOL! If you need truly therapeutic heat, you would want a separate heating pad anyway, an easy fix. There are pockets on each side of the arm panels as well as little pockets on the front of the arms. The remote cords hang through loops sewn under the arms so even if he drops the remote it is easy to retrieve. The USB plugs are great to have easy access for charging his phone. Cup holders are OK too. All these features mean I don't have to surround the chair with a bunch of tables to hold every cup and gadget, nor have cords draped all over. The details of this chair seem well thought out and I appreciate that. Some reviewers complain that these chairs move very slowly. It does. But that is a safety feature. I watched my husband figuring out the unfamiliar cycles of motion that the chair goes through and the lift, etc, and had it gone faster I think it would have been anxiety provoking for him. This does not feel like it is going to get away from him or "dump him out." So remember, reviewers, these are primarily designed for mobility impaired individuals who have a different vulnerability threshold than able bodied folks. The mechanism is smooth for the most part and the massage is pretty quiet. My Long Term Concerns are that the padding and seat will flatten out. About the only thing I could find in my research that differentiated high end dual motor lift chairs, such as Barcalounger, from these Amazon chairs is that the Barcaloungers, etc, have innerspring seats, like a mattress. Good quality furniture at that price better have that! However, for my needs this chair is not going to get a ton of wear and tear, my husband is under 200lbs, and the chair is not destined to be a family heirloom. If I get a solid 5 years I will be pleased. That being said, I did purchase the Assurion 3 year warranty for an extra hundred bucks to cover any failure.I plan to keep it covered to protect the faux leather upholstery and for hygiene purposes. So far, so good.I will let you all know if anything changes.

Saved me thru Bilateral Total Knee Arthroplasty
If you want a great power recliner, massager, and lift chair for less than the second mortgage required to purchase such a chair at Laz-y-Boy, then your search is done -period. Bought two blue pseudo leather recliners for my wife and and, hers sized for her 5’ frame and mine sized for my 6’2” frame. I just had simultaneous bilateral total knee replacement (I’m 55 - but the knees were shot!) and this chair has been my relaxing spot, my place to sit while running my ice machine, and ultimately the place I move to sleep after the discomfort of the bed position has woken me (around 4:30-5 am). The Chair is sturdy, but soft and so comfortable! Heat and massage on the left hand and movement controls on the right hand. Includes two cup holders and two USB B ports. Struggling for a fair complaint, the leg rest could be better padded, but I use a pillow on it…so! Had a small tear in the upholstery on my wife’s model and a quick call got us a replacement arm in less than a week - Excellent Customer Service! I suppose overal durability and wear and tear will require a future update, but for now, for us……best purchase in a while!
