Pet Dog Collar LUMO Omindirectional Clip On Light - Silver Body / White Light

We live in a very rural UK location with many thousands of acres of wild countryside completely undeveloped and perfect for our large-breed dogs to roam freely night and day. We needed to have night-lights for the dogs as the do go off on their own over great distances, They can run half a mile from us when out on their night run and although they are perfectly safe it is good know where they are. These LUMO lights are absolutely the business. We tried other, cheaper, aluminum type lights with the screw-in battery connector that acts as a switch. These metal-cased are rubbish in comparison and you can see why they are cheap. LUMO isn't cheap but, you get what you pay for.If you want peace of mind when running your dogs over rough countryside and long distances you cannot do better than buy this product. It is waterproof, to a greater degree, and it can take the punishing activity of a very large dog running and jumping through thicket and deep, dirty, brackish puddles the size of small lakes.These excellent lights are very bright and are clear even at 500 yards-plus in the rain at night. If they fall off the collar they are easy to locate, so you don't lose them. Unlike other lights these have a push-switch. This is great as it prevents the battery falling out (competitor lights suffer from battery loss when the cap unscrews) and means you can leave the light permanently attached to the collar; which is what we do for convenience.The only point I would make is that these, in my opinion, are not for small dogs. For Retrievers to Maremmas to Pyrenians to Polar Bears the LUMO is, literally, brilliant.

This is fantastic well made clip on light. The frosted front "bulb" head gives off a very bright even glow, dispersing the light in all directions. The rubber seal inside the case and the rubber cover over the on/off button means the torch is weather proof and I would have absolutely no qualms using this in torrential rain. Also the materials used in the torch's construction means it is lightweight but very sturdy and I believe it would definitely take a few knocks.The attached carabiner clip makes this torch even more versatile and I can see it being useful in a whole number of situations, for example, it would be a great gadget to take away camping, small lightweight and great to hang from the top of your tent for illumination. The only thing that may let this torch down would be battery life, however after nearly 20 hours use mine is still going strong and very bright!Would definitely recommend.ps. It uses three small watch type batteries.Update:Just thought I would report back on the battery life so far as this has been an issue for me with other torches in the past. It's been another 4 weeks now and this torch has been used for at least an hour each night walking the dog, it was even left on overnight on one occasion, and so I would estimate that so far I have had a good 60 hours worth of use and the torch is only just now showing signs of dimming. This is a massive improvement over the previous torch I used and both me and the dog are very happy!

I don't think this light is really a pet collar, it's not robust enough to put up with being on a collar. Initially the product took ages to arrive I did contact the seller and they were going to re-send when it showed up about a week late. The product is bigger than it appears and I think other people have said this. The light is extremely bright which is helpful but it only has 1 setting (just on). I'd been using it a few weeks attached to my dogs harness for nighttime walks but then the ring it was attached to slipped off, I was able to fix it but it was fiddly. Then this week my dog was playing with another when the canisters broke and all the batteries spilled out...not ideal for dogs either. I stuffed them back in but was concerned it would do it again so I went to a pet shop chain and bought a different version from there, comparable in price and had a flashing option and is waterproof and much more secure. If u needed a bright light for camping or on a keychain which wouldn't see much use it's ok but I don't think it's good as a dog in particular active bouncy dogs.

I had been going to rate this 5 stars as I loved that it was bright white non-flashing light which made it actually useful for walking our dog in the dark compared to coloured or flashing lights/collars you usually find however on the second time of using it the light and the small keyring style loop it was attached with fell off the carabiner style hook it attached to the collar with. It is now lost despite me retracing my steps as soon as I realised. Such a shame and obviously I'm now £7 out of pocket with no light for my dog in these dark afternoons and evenings.

This is one of the most useful things I've ever brought , to say how small it is it's pretty bright , I keep it at the side of my bed a night incase I need to go to the loo as I hate turning on the lamp and waking myself fully up in the process. The on/off button also glows in the dark so it's easy for me to find . I would highly recommend this product . I'm now looking at other lumo products to buy , they're durable, affordable and surprisingly bright for such a little thing , the battery life is brilliant also. Comes with a D ring clip to clip on just about anything . Packing was excellent as well as the service .

A great light for walking the dog at night. I walk across open countryside so its pitch black with no street lights etc.This light has a very bright glow, and can see my dog or the light for quiet a distance. I have attached the light to my dogs harness on his back, as I will always be able to see where he is. Hes a black dog and this light works very well.I took the clip off the light and instead used a key ring because its stronger, and did not want the light to fall off when my dog shakes,or rolls around etc.In all its a good light and would buy it again.
