Not enough dogs, too many dogs, or a sufficient amount of dogs?
I am willing to say there was a sufficient number of dogs, but we could have learned more about their back stories. Like, what was the baby bulldog's name, even?

Poutine-fuelled prose and poetry for all...
Major Dave is not only great at space but also great at books. Yet another classic from the author of 'Tasteful Nudes...' and 'Dave Hill Doesn't Live Here Anymore'.He is, perhaps, better known as the 7th member of the Eagles, but readers should buy this incredible book, and listeners should tune in to his wonderful podcasts. Get on it.

A bit of a forced attempt at humor that didn't work for me
I bought this book based on the positive reviews here, and while I don't regret the decision, I do not share the strong feelings of the other reviewers. The book's author, while presenting a mostly enjoyable read, in my opinion tries too hard to be funny, with less than optimum results. I found some of the humor forced or awkward, with almost no laugh-out-loud parts to the book. Worse, the author's over-enthusiastic use of footnotes made reading a bit frustrating, and I many times ended up putting the book down to get a break from the reading effort. There's some interesting commentary here, to be sure, and I suspect some will enjoy the read far more than I did, but I found it a bit of a slog.
