Better that I thought it would be.
I didn't know what I was missing out on. I had fit bit for years, and after my last one doed in me for no reason, i figured it was time to change brands. Yes the fit bit is cheaper but this watch battery last longer on this watch. It has more features, and feels so much more rugged. So far I have cut down a tree, split the tree into fire wood, done hiliking, swimming and for walks with it. Not a scratch on it! The features and customizable features are amazing! I love how it reminds time to be active on office days and it reminds me to drink and keep track of my water intake. I am not disappointed at all and I doubt you will be either. After a little "getting to know you" period you won't miss your old watch.

Great watch!
I bought this because my beloved Vivoactive 4S died and is discontinued. Extensive research found there isn't really a successor to that model (the new Vivoactives don't compare). Family referred me to the Venu 3S and it is just what I was looking for! The screen is beautiful but doesn't drain the battery too fast. The health and fitness tracking lines up with my needs (I mostly play tennis and use the cardio function for it), and I'm happy to have the sleep coach that I didn't have with my old watch. The package from this seller is a great deal and worth every penny! I love having the watch charging station and I'm using the power block to charge my phone as I write this review 😊

Terrible battery life - not so disappointed
Upgraded from a Venu 2+ I owned and loved for near three years. Consistently obtained 7 days battery life from the Venu 2+ in Smart mode with my customizations. I setup the Venu 3 exactly the same way as the Venu 2+ and use it the same way. However the Venu 3 barely provides me with one additional day of battery life over my three year old Venu 2+. With an advertised 14 day Smart battery life, the Venu 3 significantly under performs in real day to day use. If you're considering upgrading to the Venu 3 from a previous generation for improved battery life - DON'T! The new Venu 4 battery life is even worse. For me the few added features and the high price of the Venu 4 were not worth the upgrade. UPDATE - 2 stars to 4 stars. The issue with poor battery life was due primarily to Wifi being turned On. I turned Off Wifi and left all other settings the same. Remarkably the battery life jumped from eight days to a more respectable 11 days in Smartwatch mode as I have the watch configured. Wifi has a huge adverse impact on V3 battery life. I don't know why the Garmin Reps (below) didn't suggest this power saving tip??? It is best to sync the watch via your cell phone and update software via the cable using Garmin Express. Don't use Wifi unless absolutely necessary - it will rob days off your V3's battery life. I contacted Garmin support regarding poor battery life and they instructed me to turn off all features, Activity Tracker, MoveIQ, Pulse Ox and enable Battery Saver mode and I'd see improved battery life. If I turned off all those features then there would be no point in even owning the watch. Lastly, I have no other issues with the watch, it functions as expected, no connection issues and the display is adequately bright. At the $349 I paid the watch is a good value - just wished the battery lasted a few days longer. YMMV

Smooth to the touch
Love the smooth edges of the face and the strap color combo. It’s way easier to use than the previous version however the font size is smaller and I need readers to read it which is annoying. Like the nap recognition, and the body battery display is helpful. The volume for phone calls is ok. The music volume is great. Can change the screen with a photo which is cute. Easier than previous version to utilize modes such as ‘hike’. I think it’s a little bit pricey but the stand charger and add ons ease the pain! I did buy the additional screen protectors and need to stick it on but I’m not sure if it will ruin the aesthetic and feel.
