It is a nicely made mallet of solid beechwood. I would buy it again.

First of all, This is exactly the kind of Mallet I was hoping for. It is the right size and weight. (11.75 inches, 309.9 grams) It feels good in the hand. The handle and the head fit perfectly together. The handle is long enough so you can hold it all the out or choke up closer to the head wherever you need it. It came requiring some sanding and finishing. This was perfect because I wanted to do my own finishing. I dampened the unfinished mallet with water which made the fibers stand up. I took some fine sand paper and sanded the mallet smooth. I then let it dry thoroughly and applied some paste wax which I rubbed it off and applied a second coat and rubbed it off. I then rubbed the entire mallet with some 0000 Steel Wool. The new mallet now has a beautiful smooth amber finish. I then tested the new mallet with a chisel on some scrap red oak. The results were perfect. This GREBSTK Wooden Mallet is a good choice.

This is exactly what I need

I like this mallet, it’s a little big for fine chisel work but it is still useful and not excessively heavy. Nicely styled and easy to grip.

This beechwood mallet delivers firm blows to my chisels without bounce back.
