Yes got caught up in the Mooger P1/P2 hype watching youtube vids praising this mini marvel so I had to see it for myself.I used to build my own gear in the 80's. It was an educational time of analogue circuits, part, PC boards, and solder.When the a Korg Toneworks made it into my hands (1990's) and "IT WAS THE EARTH SHATTERING BOMB!!!" Kind of a P2 from 30 years ago that ran on 2 AA batteris and did amazing things with great sound quality, no amp modeling, no bluetooth, no midi but still usb control. Drum and bass patterns in different keys and you could hook up exterior audio. The sterio sound quality was pretty amazing on headphone, or through a mixer and PA, or straight to tape or HDR. Amazing set of presets!The Johnson Amplification modler (the precursor to Line 6 Pods) was another Tonal Wonder with maximum Guitar and Base usability and digital output. Excellent MIDI implementation for live work. Great sound, amplifier models, effect, bandwidth, quality. Amazing set of presets.The Positive Grid Spark 40 Modeling amp impressed me with sound quality and if you ignored their bluetooth pedal fiasco and substiltued a different pedal was very usable for learning, recording, small size performing, Good Midi implementation, USB audio out for recording. With a battery you could take it and get away from the wall jack and still have 4-5hours of loud outside play time. Amazing set of presets.The Mooger P2 has an internal chargeable battery of limited play time and not sure how you would be able to replace it if it went sour. Midi implementation works but is somwhat limitted. The bluetooth foot pedal works flawlessly and has outstanding capabilities to activate many functions (Positive Grid should make note here on how to do it right). Sound Quality is.... OK. Yes, i used a quality patch cord and Full bandwidth 20-20K Wireless Tranmitter/Receiver. I found the harmonic resolution modified with some harsh digital filtering which didn't make me happy at all. Presets are... different. To get some familiar quality patches you will need to tweak the sound banks alot. The amp models are OK... the Effect OK... Some effect pedal have great variability in their settings other not so. Drum patterns are very good. Loop function is great and did I say the Foot pedal is EXCELLENT. Soft/Firmwear implementation is Great! If it had better SOUND quality and preset patches this would be another "EARTH SHATTERING BOMB" but for now I would rather use my old Korg Tone works or the Positive Grid Spark. When I have more time I will fiddle and back up better patches to see if I can make this new mini marvel start to move the earth for me... ;-)
