This is the unit you see on all manner of work trucks. You'll need carriage bolts, washers and fiber-lock nuts to install it. Very heavy duty, it's the real deal.

These are harder to install than is implied.take a thin piece of cardboard ad place it between the two hasp sections, then wire ties the two sides together.Now place on your doors and tape in place, be sure to level them to tops so it will be straight/ level.Now from the inside check the placement to be sure the bolts will clear. this was hard on my van as the electric door locking and unlocking servo was in the way.Note this is a good time to add an alarm door switch while you are at it.Now as in the instructions mark and center punch the 6 holes you will be drilling, remove the hasp, and drill.good luck and remember to use self-locking huts.

The door/gate you mount it on now becomes the weak point. Can't be cut with bolt cutters. They won't get bye this unless that can pick it or use a cutting torch.

I live in a rough city, security is always an issue, feel a little more assured with the installation of these locks. I watch a lot of videos before buying a set of locks. Most videos I watched recommended to weld the locks on the doors. I seriously tried to bolt them on, but too much curves and bends on the inner walls of the doors. Found a good welder to weld them on and walaa I have doors that have beefy locks on them.I even got a vehicle discount from the insurance company. Can't beet a little added security to your tools of your trade.

I like the locks I feel safer with these on my tool truck. Only issue is no mounting bolts come with it, the hardware was close to $40 at home depot. I understand they don't know what size I will need for my application and it keeps the item cost down but I didn't know there was no carriage bolts with the purchase.

I have used these in several places now all with good results. I have modified the shackle in two cases, welding it to a framework like a gate that prevents my shop doors from being kicked open. I am goint to use this pair on a service truck tool box to add a level of security that I have been missing.

The lock and hasp are very strong and reliable and appear quite tamper proof. The key(s) that come with the lock must be fully inserted (with some effort) to operate the lock. The keys (soft metal) can bend easily if care is not taken to fully insert them and gently turn them. You must supply your own fastening hardware (carriage bolts, nuts, etc.)
