Simple to use and provides consistent results. Adjustability is a plus. The shavings can get stuck in make it hard to undo the plates so just make sure to attach a vacuum or clear out beforehand.

This jig is superior to all the lookalikes. Don't let the name throw you off (but I bet it sounds great in Chinese) It has very handy scales, one on top and another on side for setting the drill bit depth. Very handy. It has more offset/tab/ cup drilling distance preset holes than most others and you gain another one by using longer 8mm screw going through the plate. That will give you 7mm tab/offset. If you use no offset screws at all you will get 10mm tab exactly, which is handy because by using one or two 1mm spacer plates you can also get 8 and 9 mm tabs/offsets. And all the tabs are accurate unlike the other jigs. And if you need even bigger tab/offset , just remove the clamp and place the jig anywhere on the flat surface. I often need nice and flat countersink holes in the middle of the beams etc. The vacuum port is removable but once you try it you will not use it without it. Ever. Unless there is no vacuum around. And I didn't even have the correct adapter the first time around, so I just taped regular vacuum hose end to the door close to the gate and still got a total of 4 chips on the floor. You could do it in your living room. Even more importantly it solves the common problem of the drill cups clogging with chips. To a great degree. That is also helped by the design of the cup with bigger clear openings. ALSO!!!! The cup locks in place so you don't have to hold it down which is both safer and more comfortable, leaving your other hand to secure what else needs to be secured. . You can also drill for four different hinge screw hole locations though I found one screw hole setting to be slightly off the center on one of my hinges holes. Still in the hinge holes but just not the center of them. (Note to the manufacturer: The lettering for the two screw holes bushings on each side of the jig insert should be upside down to each other so that we would not have to worry about why the lettering is upside down in two cases. They will know what I mean). Anyway great jig and cheaper too, but I would have paid for it more than for the others. I had good experience with the Kreg hinge jig and needed to upgrade mostly for the offset limitations, but I am positively elated now so I felt I had to write this. Hope this helps with your decision.

The jig worked well for installing concealed hinges. I chose this jig over the Kreg brand because it’s all metal. As others have mentioned, wood chips can get caught in the bore housing, making removal difficult. However, cleaning with a shop vac before removal resolves this issue. The shaft to bearing housing wobbles slightly, but the holes still come out clean, and the hinges install without issues. The housing tends to shift during drilling, so you need to hold it in place to keep it stable. The knurled knobs are great for grip, but be cautious when working on finished cabinets. The knurled surface can damage the cabinet surface. After this happened to one of my doors, using tape resolved the issue. The clamp pad on the toggle clamp can leave impressions, even when reducing the clamp force. Painter’s tape helps minimize this, but slight marks may still appear. Overall, I’m pleased with the jig. This was my first full cabinet build, and it was worth the cost. It’s a valuable tool to add to my collection.

Well, designed and very easy to use!

Worked exactly as advertised. I had no issues except it took a bit of time to get the clamp adjusted to my cabinet doors. First time building doors and it handled 28 of therm with no issue. The forstner bit held up well.

Solid versatile jig. Eliminates the trial and error process. All metal no plastic. The clamp keeps the jig securely in place. No additional clamps needed to hold jig this in place. Once you know your off set, move the the curl knobs to where they need to be and that's it you're done. It's that quick. This is so much better than using the drill press.

I got this to build some cabinet doors for a built in bar that I constructed. It was really easy to use, and produced professional results. It seems to be well made from steel and aluminum. An excellent purchase!
