Directions for Flapper Installation: 1.Turn off water and flush toilet. Once flapper closes, use a pencil to mark the inside of the tank showing where the water level is. 2.Remove old flapper chain from flush lever, then remove the flapper from the flush valve. Use a sponge and wipe clean the seal rim of the flush valve. 3.Determine if flapper mounting arm width needs to be changed by positioning flapper arms in line with the mounting ears on the flush valve. To adjust the flapper arm width, position flapper so that the bulb is facing floor. Then place finger under mounting arm and pull upward until arm snaps loose. Remove arm from shoulder by twisting it sideways until it snaps off. Position arm on to other side of shoulder and press down until it snaps into place. Once both arms are on new setting A or B, rotate each one downward until it snaps into place. 4.Locate the name and model number of your toilet and match it up to the setting number on the Toilet Performance Chart. 5.Position flapper in palm of hand (bulb facing upward) and locate the small arrow on the green collar. Place fingers on bulb of flapper and rotate until your toilet setting number on bulb lines up with the arrow. Note: If you apply downward force on the bulb, it will not rotate. 6.Attach flapper to flush valve. Flapper should move freely when raised and lowered. Attach chain to flush lever so there is minimal slack when the flapper is closed. 7.Turn on the water. Flush toilet and make sure when flapper closes, the water level is at the mark you put on the inside of the toilet tank. You can fine tune the amount of water that is released from the tank by rotating the flapper bulb one number at a time.
