The wooden quality of grinder is great. It looks very nice on my kitchen counter. It comes with a wooden tray, which just make the salt pepper grinder an amazing set. I would definitely recommend it.

This set is very pretty. Matches everything perfectly. Great size the wood is of good quality. The price was great.

I've needed to update our pepper grinder for a while & I loved the look of this set, so I thought I'd give it a try. There's a lot to like about it, but like many top-loading grinders, it's really challenging to keep the mid-bar centered so you can put the top back on after adding pepper or salt or whatever.Besides that one thing I didn't like, here's what I do like about these:* They're lovely. The wood seems solid, but it must be pieced together. The color varies from piece to piece and within one grinder itself. But that's part of the charm.* They're easy to adjust for fine to coarse grind. Just be careful not to loosen the nut on top so much that it comes apart. The same nut that holds it together is what you loosen or tighten to adjust the grind.* The little stand is a bonus. I already accidentally twisted the salt grinder when I set it down & the tray caught it.I do miss the bottom loading style of my old pepper grinder. That was so nice because the center piece can't flop around like this old-school design does. Just be careful loading it & it should be okay.Also, the top internal part seems to be plastic. That's kind of a let down. The plastic rim that goes between the metal top and the wood bottom kind of downgrades the look & feel a bit imho.

The wood material is very nice , definitely good quality, as well as great price point, I love it and it’s a gift for a friend just moved into his new house, he likes it too , highly recommend it!

My Gold Adjustable Salt and Pepper Grinder Set is made of wood and has a brass colored stainless steel top with an screw that is used to adjust the textures. It also has an enclosed wooden stand for it to sit on. The two Grinders are each approximately a total height of 7 inches with their brass lid or top plus the screw being 3 inches; and, the wooden bottom being 4 inches. Both grinders are engraved on their tops with either a "P" or a "S". The box they are packed in gives very clear operating instructions on how to open; fill; and how to grind your seasonings to either a fine or coarse texture. But, for my intended purposes and uses, I needed to test the ease of its grinding; and so I placed a combination mixture into one grinder. The mixture I created was one made up of several different seasonings I routinely use. All seasonings either have large flakes, are of a coarse texture, or have formed themselves into larger pieces/shapes. I placed this combined mixture in one of the grinders and replaced its lid. Then, I followed their printed instructions on how to continuously turn the lid to grind and/or how to twist the screw on the top to adjust the grinding texture. And, I was very pleased. And, I was very pleased because for me, it did not take a lot of pressure or effort to either dial the screw on the lid to choose textures from either fine or coarse; or, to turn the brass lid/top to actually grind the whole mixture of seasons and their seasoning forms. I mention this small test of mine, because sometimes with my arthritis, I have a problem when I try to grind or chop. But, this grinder was very easy for me to use. This is a great Grinder Set that for me will have many different uses. I easily rate it 5 out of 5.

The set is nice looking, priced well and when it works is nice. However, the pepper grinder on my first set broke and so I bought another set and in 4 months the pepper grinder broke again.

I got this as an extra set for frequent dinner party/ learn how to cook events that I have for friends and family. They're beautifully crafted and are incredibly easy to fill and use. There's not too much in the way of fingerprints after using and a quick rub with a cloth takes care of any remaining. They adjust quite well and have a number of different settings from course to extremely fine for both the salt and pepper. It is even able to handle this specialty sea salt I get of from Amazon by Maldon That is harvested off the coast of England and shows in its natural crystal form of small pyramids throughout the package. It's quite the conversation piece and it's nice to see that this grinder is able to function well with them as a number of other grinders they've had do not. They come with a nice tray that have cutouts for each of the grinders and it makes a nice presentation on your table. Excellent gift for housewarming or for friends or relatives and they will. I ordered this product to replace the salt and pepper shakers on my table, just to refresh the look. Out of the box, they are sleek and stylish. The acacia wood is a beautiful, warm tone and pairs well with the gold tops. I love the holder to keep the shakers corralled on the table.My big complaint is that the actual grinder is made of plastic parts. My other grinders are made of metal parts and I don't know that plastic is going to hold up well over the long run. Already, one of the grinders looks like it's slightly out of center. That said, they seem to work well right now; I just don't know that I want to get rid of my other shakers for a set that may not last.Edit: the company contacted me (repeatedly) to let me know that the actual grinder inside is made of ceramic parts, not plastic. So you have a ceramic grinder inside and plastic parts on the outside; I stand corrected.
