I actually bought a set of these from a vendor at a fair. I came home to see if Amazon sold these, with hopes I hadn’t paid too much. These knives are amazing. I could not believe how easily they cut hard veggies like carrots and sweet potatoes, and still did a wonderful job on bread. The man demonstrating showed me how to position the knives for the best cut. He said that you don’t use them like a saw. Start with the knife positioned with the tip just in front of what you are cutting, and gently push forward, not down, or you can start with the part of the blade closest to the handle placed at the edge of your veggie and pull back. Either way your are just pushing forward or pulling back, not really needing to apply extra pressure to cut down. I was amazed at how the blade just slid right through those tough veggies. I even tried it on a head of cabbage and it was less effort than I’ve been using to cut through lettuce. LOVE THESE KNIVES!!!

Fell for a spiel at a festival and ended up buying this set. NO REGRETS! They work beautifully.Makes cutting a tomato so easy. I usually steer clear of those sales pitches. Glad I didn't this time.
