For the price, I was not expecting such well thought out packaging and quality. The box included an extra battery, a tiny screw driver to help with those teeny tiny screws and two little sheets of stickers. The tablet itself has a strap for the pencil which is easy to attach, and it’s all ready to go pretty much right out of the box. My son is enjoying playing with it so score there. I’m not sure how long it will last but for this price, I’d just get another one 😄

This is a great little doodleboard - easy to use, very lightweight, a lock button and a tethered drawing stylus. It works great, and erases when the yellow central button is pressed. It included an extra battery and a small screwdriver to use to get the battery compartment open. It does take a bit of finagling to get the screwdriver seated on the screw head, but it does fit. One thing to take note of regarding unscrewing the screw to the battery compartment: sometimes when a screw is super small, the screw will have a block or a stop on the end of it so it doesn’t come out of the top all the way (which is great because you can’t lose it!). That’s NOT the case here. That tiny little screw comes all the way out and becomes loose when unscrewed, so when it comes time to change the battery, it might be a good idea to take the top off the battery compartment while sitting at a table and holding the doodle board over a towel to catch the screw…just in case!I do like this, but…*Under “Why won’t my doodle board clear the screen?” troubleshooting section on the enclosed card, number (2) said “The user manual’s instructions can be used…” Unfortunately, though, there is no user manual.*I’m thankful for the black rubbery tether that attaches the stylus but it’s just a tad too short. The tether attaches to the “butt” end of the stylus but the stylus can only slid into its holder (which is on the opposite corner of the doodle board) point-first. Consequently, you have to stretch the tether out a little bit in order to get the stylus turned around and slid into place.*The two packs of little stickers are so cute and, presumably, are geared mostly towards little boys (yes, yes, I know little girls like cars and trucks too!). But, I just don’t understand their purpose being included with this doodle board. I mean, as a mom, I wouldn’t want my kid to put stickers all over the screen, right? Sure, they could go on the back, but I think it would be just a little too tempting for little kids to stick them on the screen and maybe add them to their transient artwork. But stickers are very transient, are they? 😁

Another one of my favorite toddler purchases. It gives them the freedom to practice motor skills, prepare for writing, as well as creativity, so fun to create some thing and then press the button and watch it disappear. Love that there’s an attachment for the pen so it does not get lost definitely repurchasing for my nieces and nephews.

This brought back fond memories of my youth. In the good old days before digital electronics and high tech, there was a drawing tablet comprised of a sheet of heavily impregnated carbon paper covered with a similar sized piece of celluloid upon which you could draw with a blunt pencil or knitting needle. The carbon would transfer to the underside of the transparent sheet leaving a modest image. To reuse the tablet, there was a strip of something that you pulled down between the two layers and it removed the carbon imprint from the screen.How sophisticated we have become. Kids now have tablets and cellphones, and toddlers have this magical little device.I particularly like the multiple colour bands that allow, not for full colour drawings, but at least for the introduction of random colour strips within the line art on the screen. I think younger kids will find this quite the novelty. I am keeping this for next Christmas, and presenting it to my neighbour's little boy.

This is a great doodle board for kids (but adults might also find it hard to resist). It's so cool to be able to just draw or write or doodle whatever you feel like, and then just push the little button erase it all with that one click and have a perfectly clean slate to start over again.The stylus slides into a fitted slot at the top of the doodle board and there is also an included attachment piece that you can very easily thread through the pre-fab slot in the top corner if you want to have the added security of a double safety so that the stylus doesn't accidentally go missing. Kids can lose anything, so that's a nice feature to have.It's also a nice bonus that the doodle board comes with a fully charged battery and an extra battery for future reference! I think it will take a very, very long time before a battery change is ever required, but it is nice to have that as a backup just in case.The two packages of adorable stickers are another added bonus that I did not realize were even included until I saw them in the box that arrived. They are very cute and the young ones love them.This doodle board will keep the little ones entertained and occupied for many, many hours and it is such a great tool for them to express their creativity, practice their letters or numbers or drawing or maths or writing stories or poems or anything really, depending upon their ages. It is very versatile and the only limits are the imaginations of the little ones and yourself as their parent! The value of this great little doodle board far far exceeds the minimal cost of it. Such a fantastic little plaything that allows children to express themselves so easily.Definitely two thumbs up from me!
