Fantastic
I brought the Kindle edition of the book Ms. Gabby Franco wrote, “TROUBLESHOOTING (Masteringyour [sic] Pistol Marksmanship Book 1).” Well worth every penny, my accuracy literally improved noticeably within a day! Gabby describes in easy to understand language what to do, and why. She suggest exercises so the reader can understand what the technique should be like. Also, lots of pictures illustrating, and further clarifying the point. I have many books, watched videos and read articles on the Internet, yet this book pointed out the things I forgot, or never knew (or really thought I knew but was doing wrong all along). It’s the little things that made a big difference in my case. I’ve been shooting off and on since nineteen seventy six, recently got into target shooting. One major thing I struggled with was the front post sight on the pistol was blurry. Turns out I didn’t need prescription shooting glasses, I was holding my head wrong, now the post sight is crystal clear. This is not, nor claims to be a self defense tactics manual, just improving marksmanship.

A must have for ANY skill level shooter!!!
I have been shooting since I was 13, I am 25 now, and I can tell you that if you are a new shooter, a novice shooter, or even an expert shooter, you owe it to yourself to pickup this book! In the book, Gabby explains everything from basic fundamental shooting techniques, to important gun safety, and even things you should be thinking about when shopping for a new firearm. The book is written in a manner that anyone can pick it up and understand it and she even includes illustrations of herself demonstrating the techniques she is teaching in the book which is great for us visual learners! As she has suggested in the first few pages of the book, I will be keeping this book in my range bag as a reference so when I think my shooting techniques are starting to get rusty, I can go back and read Chapter 2 and have Gabby "teach" me again on how to shoot straight!I have a lot of friends/ colleagues who come to me for advice when selecting a firearm, I will be definitely be recommending this book to them and to anyone interested in improving their shooting skills!!!! :)

Its a decent beginners book.
I really was expecting more from this book, BUT it is a GOOD choice for beginning shooters. I say that because for a new shooter it does a decent job of introducing them to the main points one needs to START with as a new shooter. Things like safety, stance, grip, front sight focus, dominant eye, and many more things. I also liked the various drills the author recommends. A new shooter can, using this book, develop the foundation for a good collection of shooting skills that will serve them well..... if they are practiced with intent and regularity. This book should be sold with every new pistol, to new shooters, if for no other reason than it will set a new shooter up on a good footing if they use its information.I teach the intro to new shooters course at the shooting range where I work, so this info is very familiar and is used daily in the class. It's not new, BUT it is a good concise collection of techniques that IS WORTH keeping a copy in your shooting kit to refer to frequently, if you are a new or newer shooter. It costs about what a box of ammo costs, and will save you money by teaching you how to actually practice when you are at the range as opposed to just blasting away at a piece of paper and wondering why your shots are scattered all over the target, instead of a nice small group centered in the 10 ring.I am happy to have it in my Fire tablets.

Excellent book for beginners and people just trying to get better with pistols
I've been shooting rifles most of my life and I'm very good with them. However I'm rather horrible with pistols because unlike with rifles I had no training along the way. I have a couple pistols that I haven't enjoyed shooting because I was absolutely horrible with them. It had nothing to do with the guns themselves but my own inability. When I saw this book I thought it was high time I did something to fix my own inability to shoot by relearning how to shoot correctly with pistols. This book does exactly that by teaching me what to do correctly and in turn what I'm doing wrong. The only thing that I think would make this book better is if all the shooting practices were also duplicated in the back of the book so I could rip out or copy those pages to put into a quick reference guide to take with me. It's a bit difficult at the range to keep leafing through the book to find the practice sessions information each time I want to shoot.

Essential Took for Any Shooter
I took Gabby's Shoot Perfect course and was totally impressed. Years of bad habits were cured, or at least identified. Gabby's manual is the next best thing to having her instruct you in person. Her goal is to make you the best marksman you can be, with sound fundamentals and an understanding of what goes into making a good shot. We take simple things for granted, such as "focus on the front sight." Gabby shows you why this is important. Once I quit "watching" the front sight and started SEEING the front sight, my groups shrank dramatically. The book is full of fundamentals that are deceptively simple, but are actually quite profound. Like me, you will have that "Ah ha!" moment when everything starts to make sense. Over the last 40 years, I've seen courses that specialized in gun handling, tactics, and dealing with lethal force issues. None of this means anything if you can't hit the target. This manual will make you a better shooter. Buy one copy for the shelf, and stick another in your range bag. You won't regret it.
