Great Value and Online Support
I have bought many USB Ethernet Adapters over the years - which says it all really. So I decided to buy a well-known brand and I was not disappointed. This is not the slimmest or lightest of products - it is an older model (there is a newer model on Amazon). It does work with Windows 7. As it is an older product it does not come with Windows 7 drivers, however, due to it being a D-Link product there is great online support for you to download the updated drivers (you can install a Windows XP driver that comes on the disc which will work to get you online to update the driver). After using the product for a month or so I noticed the blue screen of death appearing in Windows 7 and so I looked at the Windows updates and there was an updated driver there for this product - so it is well supported. After installing the updated driver there has been no problems.Would recommend this if you are just looking for a basic adapter with good online driver support for good value.

Solid product, had to hunt for drivers online
This is a great USB to Ethernet adapter, and has worked reliably in a mobile setup for a laptop that required two Ethernet ports. Can't fault it as a network adapter. My only complaint is that the drivers on the D-Link site at the time I installed this were really difficult to find... It comes with a driver CD, but the laptop I wanted to install it on does not have a CD drive, and Win7 didn't automatically find the drivers. If D-Link were to fix this, it would be 5 stars.

GREAT PRODUCT
I'm always struggling for extra USB ports, especially on the go, but my previous plastic hub overheated and stopped working. I know the brand D-Link, so I picked this up, and it definitely seems like a more 'premium' unit - metal doesn't seem to get as hot, but its still very light and portable. It also has an adapter to switch between USB-C and A, which I haven't used yet, but definitely useful and a gigabit port for wires - recommended!

Great compact device
This is a great little device for adding extra ports to your PC/Laptop. Also, if you have a Samsung phone which has DEX enabled, connect the D-link usb c cable to your phone and run a HDMI cable from your TV/monitor to the HDMI port in the D-link box and you can use your phone as a PC👍

You lose a USB-C port if using pass-through charging, although that doesn't work on my unit anyway!
What an incredibly poor pieve of design, that if you want to use pass-through charging then you lose a USB-C port from your computer! I would think that if it's suppose to support pass-through charging then at least one other USB-C port would be provided as otherwise you've lost one (and on one of the laptops I was planning to use it with, I only have the one USB-C, which I power it through too, and do have USB-C devices I plug in to it so this seems like a major design flaw to me!).My unit doesn't seem to be working with pass-through anyway. I did re-check the description and it includes the words '...and charge your laptop...", but it isn't so at least I get to send it back. And to those wondering, yes the laptop in question does support charging via USB-C (I know not all that have the ports do), and I am typing this on that laptop while it's charging via the USB-C charger that's plugged directly into it.

Functionality good, but runs hot and scratches very easily
I bought this because I had heard of the brand and it features all the ports etc that I needed. It appears to work fine (Disclaimer: I haven't tested the ethernet or HDMI ports yet). The problem is that the silver colour is painted on and scratches with minimal provocation--mine has become heavily scratched after a week from the the USB C plug scratching against the body of the device while in my bag.It also runs very hot and I feel it is running down my computer battery (I have a MacBook Air M2, which normally lasts days)

Great value - our second purchase
Had bought one a year or more ago, decided we needed a second and happy to find it far cheaper than the first one.
